First Trailer Finally Arrives For SCREAM The TV Series!

Bringing you the best in Horror Movie News, and all things Horror.

Just yesterday we brought you a special lightning fast teaser video and then last night during the MTV Movie Awards, the very first trailer for the forthcoming SCREAM TV Series was revealed to the world. The trailer for the TV show offers a hint of insight into what is to come and the show appears to have a slightly different feel to it than the films. We also have included two TV promos for the upcoming MTV series so head on down below to check them all out.

Bex Taylor-Klaus, Willa Fitzgerald, John Karna, Connor Weil and Amadeus Serafini all star. Jamie Travis is the director of the pilot.

"A YouTube video going viral, which soon leads to problems for the teenagers of Lakewood and serves as the catalyst for a murder that opens up a window to the town’s troubled past.

After a cyber-bullying incident results in a brutal murder, the shocking violence stirs up memories of a killing spree from the past that has haunted some, intrigued others and maybe just inspired a new killer. A group of teens – with two old friends struggling to reconnect at its heart – become lovers, enemies, suspects, targets and victims of a killer who’s out for blood."

Back in November, MTV’s senior vice president and head of scripted development Mina Lefevre, had this to say about the new design for the mask:

“It’s a darker, almost more grounded, evolved version of the mask. It’s something we’re constantly talking about. How did that mask become that mask? What’s its purpose? How did it evolve? If the Scream movie mask was the more plastic version, for a lack of a better description, this one is a more organic looking and frankly darker version.”

Lefevre added:

“Scream was incredibly iconic, but we wanted to reinvent that for TV while of course keeping all the main elements that made it so iconic, including a mask, but also the soapy teen stories, pop culture humor, the scares and the killer,” she says. “We’re tonally walking that line, yet delivering the scares in a significant way. The mask was a big discussion creatively. We wanted to get a nod and a wink to what the original was, but we definitely wanted to make it more on par with what horror is now, which is darker.”

SCREAM the series comes to television June 30th on MTV.
