2012 brought us the film PROMETHEUS which became a success at the box office, thus creating major opportunity for a sequel. Director Ridley Scott has been working on the upcoming ALIEN: COVENANT which will be the PROMETHEUS sequel and serve as a prequel to the ALIEN movies.
Some new promo videos have arrived for ALIEN: COVENANT which you will find waiting for you down below along with the previously released trailer.
The cast of ALIEN: COVENANT is made up of Katherine Waterston, Michael Fassbender, Noomi Rapace, Demian Bichir, Danny McBride, Jussie Smollett, Amy Seimetz, Carmen Ejogo, Benjamin Rigby, Callie Hernandez, Billy Crudup and James Franco.
The film was written by Michael Green, Jack Paglen, and John Logan.
"Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world -- whose sole inhabitant is the "synthetic" David, survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition."
Michael Fassbender previously had this to say about ALIEN COVENANT:
“It’s much scarier than Prometheus, but it’s got the same sort of scope of Prometheus.”
“It’s kind of got more of thriller, imminent disaster feel that Alien had, so it’s kind of a beautiful meeting of both of those films. I’m really excited to see it, I think it’s gonna be super scary number one and then again with the massive scope of Prometheus… Once it starts and the ball starts rolling, it doesn’t let up. It’s really gonna bring chills to the cinema.”
ALIEN: COVENANT will arrive in theaters on May 19th.
