Bringing you the best in Horror Movie News, and all things Horror.
Back in 2012, director Ridley Scott brought us his film PROMETHEUS which did very well at the box office. Naturally the opportunity for a sequel was there and Scott has been working hard on the film titled ALIEN: COVENANT which will serve as a prequel to the ALIEN movies.
As it turns out, Scott will be quickly be filming yet another ALIEN film before too long which could be titled AWAKENING. He tells IGN UK:
“we're writing [a sequel] now, as we speak. I'll be filming that within 14 months."
Today we bring you a new featurette for ALIEN COVENANT, as well as some B-roll along with some blooper footage from ALIEN: COVENANT. Head on down below to check those out.
The cast of ALIEN: COVENANT is made up of Katherine Waterston, Michael Fassbender, Noomi Rapace, Demian Bichir, Danny McBride, Jussie Smollett, Amy Seimetz, Carmen Ejogo, Benjamin Rigby, Callie Hernandez, Billy Crudup and James Franco.
The film was written by Michael Green, Jack Paglen, and John Logan.
"Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world -- whose sole inhabitant is the "synthetic" David, survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition."
Michael Fassbender previously had this to say about ALIEN COVENANT:
“It’s much scarier than Prometheus, but it’s got the same sort of scope of Prometheus.”
“It’s kind of got more of thriller, imminent disaster feel that Alien had, so it’s kind of a beautiful meeting of both of those films. I’m really excited to see it, I think it’s gonna be super scary number one and then again with the massive scope of Prometheus… Once it starts and the ball starts rolling, it doesn’t let up. It’s really gonna bring chills to the cinema.”
ALIEN: COVENANT will arrive in theaters on May 19th.
