It's Game Over For The Chucky Video Game! TikGames Cancels 'Chucky: Wanna Play?'

Remember a while back we ran several articles revealing that a Chucky video games was in the works? Well, it pains me to say this, but "Chucky: Wanna Play?" has officially been cancelled by the developer due to a lack of funding.



TikGames announced the news earlier on their Facebook page revealing the following message:

"It is with great sadness that we announce the cancellation of this Kickstarter Campaign. For those who have followed Chucky this last week, you know that pledges have been very slow. We built a fun campaign with lots of great goodies, got the word out to as many people as we could, but sadly not enough people loved the concept of a Chucky video game as much as we did. Our ncerest thanks go out to all of you who pledged to Chucky, and we promise no charges will be made to your credit card for this Kickstarter project."

With a Kickstarter goal set for $925,000, an amount that the developers felt they needed to produce the PC veron of the game, the campaign only mustered up 19 backers who donated just $585. Yikes!
