AMERICAN HORROR STORY: FREAK SHOW Cast & Key Characters Announced! Villain Is Revealed!

AMERICAN HORROR STORY was representing at this year's Comic-Con for their upcoming FREAK SHOW in the fall. No tangible footage was revealed, however they did announce a much more detailed list of key characters as well as another major cast member.

The show's executive producer Tim Minear was on the panel along with some of the cast from AMERICAN HORROR STORY as they revealed the most detailed character list up to date:

*Jessica Lange is Elsa Mars

*Emma Roberts is Maggie

*Sarah Paulson plays Siamese twins Bette and Dot Tattler

*Michael Chiklis is Wendell Del Toredo, husband of Desiree and ex-husband of Effil

*Angela Bassett is Del Toredo’s wife Desiree Duprée

*Kathy Bates is Effil Darling, Del Toredo’s ex-wife

*Evan Peters will play Del Toredo and Effil’s son, Jimmy Darling

*John Carroll Lynch will play a villain that will rival the creepiness of the Rubber Man and the Minotaur from earlier installments, and with Ryan Murphy having previously revealed that AMERICAN HORROR STORY: FREAK SHOW will feature a clown killer, that likely could be Lynch’s character. Lynch played the suspected serial killer Arthur Leigh Allen in David Fincher’s ZODIAC (2007).

AMERICAN HORROR STORY: FREAK SHOW will be made up of Jessica Lange (said to be her last season), Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Frances Conroy, Michael Chiklis, Denis O’Hare, Wes Bentley, Finn Wittrock and Emma Roberts.

The fourth season will be set in Jupiter, Florida and be centered around one of the few remaining freak shows of the 1950s as its members do anything to keep the business alive. The season will focus on the conflict between the freaks and the evil forces who do not understand them.

AMERICAN HORROR STORY: FREAK SHOW will be made up of thirteen episodes and will likely premiere in October on FX.
