Bringing you the best in Horror Movie News, and all things Horror.

MTV's SCREAM TV series made some waves with it's second season as well as the 2-hour Halloween special, MTV announced back in October that SCREAM had been renewed for a much shorter, six-episode, third season.

Not long ago it was revealed that Season 3 of MTV’s SCREAM would be receiving the reboot treatment. That means a new cast as well as new storylines.

We have learned that rapper/actors Tyga and C.J. Wallace will be joining the cast of the third season.

“Tyga (aka Michael Ray Stevenson) will play the character of Jamal, who is Deion’s stepbrother, "despite hanging out with a rough crowd, he’s got a big heart and an undying loyalty to Deion."

“C.J. Wallace, who is the son of The Notorious B.I.G. and Faith Evans, will play Amir, "a good kid whose strict parents expect him to keep clean during high school, stay away from girls and ultimately find his place within the family business. Amir is a socially awkward savant who dreams of making music one day, an ambition he must stifle and keep to himself. But when events make him the unexpected target of a killer, Amir finds himself in over his head and his world view challenged. Facing death makes Amir reconsider what he wants for his life and the lengths he's willing to go to find his identity and chase his dreams — should he survive."

Synopsis:

“Deion Elliot, a local star running back's tragic past comes back to haunt him at the worst time, threatening his hard-earned plans for his future — and the lives of his unlikely group of friends.”

The new showrunner will be Brett Mat Matthews, who wrote for THE VAMPIRE DIARIES and SUPERNATURAL. Matthews will be joined by Queen Latifah. Shakim Compere and Yaneley Arty will be executive producing by way of Latifah's Flavor Unit Entertainment banner. Harvey and Bob Weinstein are still on as executive producers courtesy of Dimension TV.

The late Wes Craven will be credited as producer.

Insiders are saying that the rebooted Season 3 "will be more inclusive as the series looks to put a new spin on a proved concept that has not been embraced on the small screen”.

No specific premiere date has been set just yet but he entire six episode third season of SCREAM will be made available in a special three night event on MTV this March sometime.
