Bringing you the best in Horror Movie News, and all things Horror.

From the creators of Sherlock comes Netflix and the BBC’s DRACULA, which is now set to arrive over on BBC One on New Year’s Day. The three-part series will eventually receive an international release via Netflix, but there’s no word yet on when exactly that will happen. In the meantime, check out the first teaser trailer that has arrived down below.

Still, it’s a good sign to finally receive news on when this event is set to kick off and help bring the titular vampire back to prominence. The premiere is now set for January 1st and will run for three consecutive nights through January 3rd. See below for the official announcement.

Written and created by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss, with episodes directed by Jonny Campbell, Damon Thomas, and Paul McGuigan, the series is inspired by Bram Stoker’s classic novel and will re-introduce the world to DRACULA, the vampire who made evil sexy. In Transylvania in 1897, the blood drinking Count is drawing his plans against Victorian London. Claes Bang (The Girl in the Spider's Web, The Square) plays the titular role of Dracula.

The series additionally stars John Heffernan (The Crown), Joanna Scanlan (Hold the Sunset), Dolly Wells (Can You Ever Forgive Me), Lujza Richter (Phantom Thread), Sacha Dhawan (The Boy with the Top Knot), Jonathan Aris (Sherlock), Morfydd Clark (Patrick Melrose), Nathan Stewart-Jarrett (Misfits), Catherine Schell (Doctor Who), Youssef Kerkour (Home), and Clive Russell (Game of Thrones).

The cast also includes Lyndsey Marshal (The League of Gentlemen), Chanel Cresswell (The Bay), Matthew Beard (The Imitation Game), Lydia West (Years & Years), Paul Brennen (Wild Bill), Sarah Niles (Catastrophe), Sofia Oxenham (Poldark), John McCrea (God’s Own Country), Phil Dunster (Humans), and Millicent Wong.

DRACULA will premiere overseas on BBC One over three consecutive nights starting January 1st, 2020. It will then soon be heading to Netflix in the U.S.
