====Preface====Slowly Laurie gripped her fingers around the neck of the mask and began to pull it off her brothers face. She had very little strength making the task a difficult one, as it slipped off the top of his head the mask caught on the knife forcing her to touch his blood covered face. His head tilted back, lifeless. She sat on her knees staring into his eyes, she could see him looking back at her fading away. Looking down at the mask one thought went through her head in a voice that wasn’t hers. ‘Put it on.’ Trembling, she did just that; and for an instant she saw as Michael did. Ung more strength and will than she had she turned her head to look at Dr. Loomis. Her hatred for him boiling over inde, she turned once more to her brother and gripped the knife protruding from his cheek. With all she had left she pulled the enormous blade from the wound, releang a stream of blood flowing from the narrow hole.Crawling until her face was inches from his she sat, glaring at Loomis. Uncontrollably her head started to tilt to the de and her hands shook with rage. She lifted her trembling hands as her head straightened, and forcefully impaled his dead body with the blade. A scream escaped as she tore the blade from the carcass and repeated her action. Something inde wouldn’t let her stop, and before she could grasp hold of her former stable self her hands were covered in his blood. Her breaths were heavy, as well as her heart. Hate flushed through her veins and remorse was no where to be found. Her only regret was not being able to impale him with the knife while he was still alive. With the handle of the knife still poking out of his skull she arose to her feet and stumbled towards the door of the dilapidated shack. The wind from the helicopter was unsettling almost caung her to be knocked of balance, the light shinning down was enough to blind her. The blue and red lights made her dizzy and weak to the knees, and before she could take another step she fell. The mask weighed her down to the extent that she couldn’t hold her head up, caung her to remove it. She could feel everyone’s eyes watching her every move, uncertain as of what to do. Laurie stared down into the face of her hunter and in the mask saw the terror she lived through, and more importantly herself.

====Part One==== Sheriff Brackett dropped his gun, looked back at his fellow officers and nodded. Slowly and cautiously they let there guns down as well, the deputy began shaking his head no. Ignoring the gesture Brackett took a step forward, his attention bouncing from the shack to Laurie. His nerves were on edge and his body showed his fear as he trembled with every step.“Laurie?” His voice shook as he said her name, eyes still on the shack. He wasn’t sure if he expected Michael Myers to pop out at him or try to get away. With no answer from Laurie he repeated himself. She slowly looked at him with no verbal response, her eyes empty. Even after what happened to her a year ago he still could see a part of the girl he knew for years, but now looking into her eyes he couldn’t see Laurie. Not the Laurie he knew, or his Annie knew. She was gone, something he wasn’t okay with. A lot of people had died trying to stop this monster from getting to this precious girl, and he wasn’t going to let him win. It wouldn’t be right to anyone, not himself, Laurie or his daughter Annie. The thought of her made his heart skip a beat with pain, quickly he tossed the thought from his brain to focus on the task at hand. “Honey are you okay?” He crouched before her and touched her arm trying to reassure her she was safe, she flinched and gave him an evil glare. Slowly his hand removed itself from her skin, ‘What happened?”She dropped the mask to the ground, almost as if it was just to heavy for her to hold any longer. He looked down to see the mask had blood splattered all over it, it wasn’t Laurie’s. He got to his feet and took a step forward, the fear began to peak as he started the turn into the shack. He could see Loomis laying against a blood covered wall with his face and neck almost completely gone and a knife protruding from his skull. Next to him was a mask-less Michael who had fallen on thin bent out metal poles used for securing foundation. He had a hole in his cheek where he was stabbed, Brackett was trying to make sense of the tuation. Did Michael kill Loomis? Did Laurie kill Michael? If Laurie killed Michael with his knife, how did the knife end up in Loomis? He knew the answer to his question, but the thought was something he could not grasp. Laurie wasn’t like him, was she? Running from the wooden structure to his patrol car his thoughts began to swirl in his head, what was he going to do with Laurie? If she wasn’t stable he couldn’t let her live in society with the chance of her hurting someone, but he had to be sure. He wasn’t going to institutionalize an innocent girl, however he knew it didn’t add up.“I have multiple bodies in need of medical asstance,” He spoke into his radio with the location and name. He could almost feel the receptors heart skip a beat with the mention of Michael Myers.

============================================================== After escorting Laurie into the ambulance to be treated Brackett made his way back into the shack, a paramedic and female officer were bent down in front of Michael’s body. “What finally killed him?” She turned to look at the sheriff with a puzzled expreson. “That is what I want to find out,” he pointed to Loomis body. “You see that knife in his head?” She nodded as he looked at her for conformation. “Now doesn’t that blade look to be the match of what stabbed this one?” He was almost touching Michael’s face as he showed her. “Yeah, what’s your point?” The information she was receiving was only leading her confuon in the oppote direction of which she was hoping for. “I watched as he killed the doctor over there, I saw the knife in his hand before I shot him through that window. He fell onto these pipes here, and I watched as Laurie crossed over to him. Which leads me too assume that Laurie got hold of the knife and that is what made these wounds all over his chest, and this one in his face.” He stared at her with a troubled look, eyes watering as he was coming to terms with what he feared. She looked down, thinking the terrible thought Brackett was confirming for himself.“Now she came out wearing the mask, which means all the details I have are. Michael killed Loomis and still had the knife in his hands when I shot him, Laurie walked over to Michael and out of here a few moments later. As I came in to see what happened I see a mangled Doctor here, far worse looking than when I had seen his dead body fall to the damn ground earlier. So I’m gonna piece together the fucking clues, Laurie…” He paused. “Laurie got that knife out of this bastard and did this to Loomis, last question is why?”The woman got to her feet and made her way to her sheriff, “After all she has been through maybe she just…” She looked at him not wanting to finish that sentence. “I have to be sure before I make the decion, how do I know he wasn’t stabbed by something else earlier?” He looked at her longing for the hope, Laurie was like a daughter to him. One he could still fight for. She looked back with none of the hope he wanted, “Okay. Then we make sure,” She smiled trying to be reassuring.Brackett walked over to the paramedic, “I want you to load him up and follow me to the morgue.”The paramedic nodded after eavesdropping on their entire conversation, he could see the state of this man and didn’t want confrontation.“No fucking questions by anyone about anything, if they ask tell me and ill make sure they understand to the point of crystal fucking clarity. I’m done fooling around with all this shit,” before he could continue the paramedic walked away in fear.Brackett lifted his hand and rubbed his face trying to fight back the tears that inevitably fell. The pain Michael Myers had caused over the last two years was unbearable for this small town, and having witnessed it first hand both occaons he knew how long it would take to forget. To heal.

================================================================ “I’m sorry for dragging you out here so late at night,” Brackett began to apologize to the diener. “Don’t be sheriff, it’s the best interest of everyone to put this bastard behind us as quickly as posble. Now will you help me get this damn bulky jacket off him?” He asked the surrounding company for help as he quickly noticed Michael was too heavy for him to lift by himself. Once the jacket was off he hauled it into the other room, it seemed to take up too much space for him. Returning he put on a pair of latex gloves and got the razor and cream from the cabinet. He poured a small amount of water into a bowl and placed it next to the body, he could feel Brackett getting restless. Midnight wasn’t exactly the best time for anyone to be up and functioning, so he mply ignored the annoyed sheriff and began shaving carefully around the wound on Michael’s cheek. Being the perfectionist he couldn’t help but begin on the oppote de of the stab to fully shave the mans face. The long hairs made this more difficult and time consuming, glancing ever so often at Brackett to make sure he wasn’t on the verge of murder he finally finished. The concentrated look on Brackett’s face didn’t change, he mply grabbed the knife from the bag and pulled it next to Michael’s face. It was clear that the knife was the cause of the wound, slowly he pulled Michael’s mouth open to reveal the damage of the blade including two chipped teeth. Michael’s body was still warmer than it should be, the thought of impaling the knife into Michael’s skull repeatedly crossed his mind. Somehow he fought the urge and continued.“Sheriff, what are you doing?” Rose, the female officer from the shack, questioned. Brackett turned and glared at her before slowly making eye contact with everyone in the room. “If you don’t like what I’m doing then get the fuck out.”An uncomfortable shift in the atmosphere of the room made everyone uneasy, yet no one left. Carefully Brackett slid the blade into Michael’s cheek, and perfectly it matched. The teeth were chipped off by the force of a stab and the tear in the back of his throat was the aftermath of that. He carefully pulled the knife from his cheek and placed it back in the bag.“Which hospital did they take Laurie to,” The sheriff asked aloud. He tried sounding as calm as posble but the feeling of rage and heartache were too overwhelming.“Memorial,” Rose answered knowing the night was far from over. “Stan, I want his body cremated tonight. I don’t give a shit about an autopsy, what the fuck he’s wearing, none of it. I leave this building and you toss this son of a bitch in.” He looked at the Diener not expecting a response but to make sure he knew how serious he was. “I’m going to go vit Laurie, and figure out the rest of the story that we missed,” He turned to Rose. “I guess the son of a bitch won,” Tears began to fall from his eyes. “That little girl finally broke, she broke.” Before anyone could attempt to comfort or say anything Brackett was gone from the room.==========================================================Sheriff Brackett sat in his car trying to collect himself, his tears wouldn’t stop flowing in streams and his mind wouldn’t stop racing. “Fuck!” He hit the steering wheel letting every emotion begin to escape. “Fuck!” Again he hit the wheel feeling the tingle in his hand but nothing else. “I’m sorry Laurie, I’m so fucking sorry! You never deserved this! Fuck!” He hadn’t stopped rushing his fist into the leather. Somehow he began to get control of his breaths, he didn’t want to go talk to her. He wanted to picture her well, walking with her daughter on their way home from school. Playing in his backyard with Annie, living normally. He hadn’t even began to think of his daughter, he had been fighting back the emotions nce he stumbled in on the blood covered restroom. Everything precious to him was lost, all he had to fight for was Laurie. Wiping the tears away from his face he took a deep breath and gripped the handle of the car door, convincing himself he was ready he stepped out.Reaching the nurses desk he faked a smile the best he could, “Hi I’m looking for Laurie Strode.”“Oh, yes. She is still on the emergency room floor, we haven’t gotten her to a room quite yet. If you go in the door and straight back she is on the left.” The receptionist smiled as she pointed to the door. Her perky attitude ckened him, still he faked a smile once more. “Thank you so much,” quickly he opened the door and fled to the back. He came across her name on the wall and stopped in front of the door, maybe he wasn’t ready for this. His feet began to turn around, yet somehow he mustered up enough courage to grip the door handle and knock. “Come in,” Laurie’s voice echoed through the wood. She sounded normal. “Hi honey,” He made sure to close the door behind him. “Oh, Mr. Brackett.” Laurie’s demeanor changed upon seeing his face. She was already crying and his presence seemed to make it worse. “Oh Mr. Brackett I’m so sorry about Annie,” She reached her arms out to hug him. The mention of her name caused his eyes to water and the remorse and pain in Laurie’s eyes was enough to send him over the edge. Tears began to flow but he held back his madness, “I’m sorry too honey.” He held her tight for a few moments, taking advantage of being able to cry on someone’s shoulder who understood his pain. After the long tear filled embrace he took a step back and removed his jacket, pulled the chair closer to Laurie and sat. “I have a few questions to ask you Laurie, and the quicker we get this over with the quicker we can move on from this mess.” He was amazed at his own composure, and could see Laurie thinking about the events that just took place. “Okay,” she swallowed and tried to smile at him.“Well for starters, I need to know what happened in the shack Laurie. I seen Michael kill Dr. Loomis and that’s when I shot him, but everything after that is just a guess for me.” His face twitched in fear of her answer, She shook her head, thinking back. “I-” she drew in a long breath. ‘I walked over to him and got the knife and-” Tears began to fall from her eyes again. “And what Laurie?” He wanted to comfort her, to grab her hand and help her through the pain. “I couldn’t stop myself, something came over me and I started stabbing him. I tried to stop I did, but I couldn’t. Finally I stabbed him in his face and I could see his life draining,” she looked at Mr. Brackett to see if he could understand. “I finally killed him,” she looked down with nothing more to say.“That’s it Laurie?” He knew the answer to his question, like he knew earlier. He just needed to hear it. “Does that make me a bad person? I just wanted this to be over,” She looked up searching for his comprehenon. “No Laurie it doesn’t make you a bad person, it makes you a strong person.” Brackett smiled at her, “But there is a few more details I need.” He swallowed back the lump in his throat, “You came out wearing his mask. Why is that?” Her expreson changed almost as if someone else sat before him, “No I didn’t.” Her voice wasn’t saddened anymore, just a monotone . “Yes honey, you did.” His eyes began to water, he knew the outcome of this conversation now.She shook her head, “I did?” “You did Laurie, and something else happened in that shack. You just told me that you stabbed him in the face and killed him, but when I walked in the knife wasn’t in his body.” He ran his hand over his moustache and got to his feet. ”Where was it then?” She stared at him, the same stare she had at the shack. “It was in Dr. Loomis, it was sticking out of his skull Laurie. Now when I shot Michael and he dropped his body Loomis didn’t look like that.” He was trying to make her understand he knew, that he had pieced together the small details. Laurie exhaled in a small laugh, “He deserved to fucking die.”“What was that?” Brackett was taken back by the comment. “Dr. Loomis deserved to fucking die, he deserved every bit of what I did. He should have been alive, that’s what he really deserved. I wish I could have held him down and tortured him slowly. That prick was nothing but a life ruiner who used people to get ahead and I wish I could have brought him the pain he brought upon me. I guess its too bad my brother was the one to do it.” She smirked at Brackett, no remorse or love left. She had an evil expreson on her face, and his jaw dropped in fear and sorrow. She had cracked, and there was nothing he could do but give her profesonal help. “We’re gonna get you help Laurie,” Brackett’s tears began to fall again. “Help? Your going to help me? You couldn’t even help your daughter, and that’s why the little bitch died.” Her voice was gaining volume and she could see the sheriff’s emotions tearing through him. “Do you want to know what I wanted to do to that little slut? She was nothing but a reminder of what happened to me, nothing but a little bitch! She should have been ripped to shreds, I should have ripped her to shreds. I should have grabbed that neck of hers and-” Brackett cut her off. “Do not talk about my daughter like that, you were her best friend and I hope you never have to feel what I felt. Walking in on my daughter covered in blood and torn open from head to toe, the one thing in my life I got right. That I created, and loved more than anything in this world. She loved you and I love you, and that’s why im going to fight for you Laurie, I need you back because I cant have her back. But don’t you ever talk about my baby girl like that again,” he didnt give her a chance to respond. He ran out of the room and fell to his knees, he had never felt pain like that.He was going to put everything in motion tomorrow, right now he just wanted to mourn the loss of his daughter.

===================================================== The sound of shuffling around began to pour into his ears, the feeling of a slight breeze as something move past him grazed his skin. His lungs slowly took in air and as he heard the being leave the room his eyes opened. Michael slowly sat upright letting the sheet fall from his body and glanced around the room, he could see a furnace in front of him and realized he was in a crematorium. His eyes fixated on one of the larger bodies in the room and as he heard a man talking on a phone he set his plan into action. Slowly he left the room to find out where the man was, and standing in the shadows he watched as he spoke into his cell phone. “It wont be long honey im just going to do a few bodies, I have Michael Myers here and the sheriff said I need to have him done tonight. So im just going to do a few others so I don’t have to be here so early tomorrow,” as the man began to move around the room Michael stepped back into the room he just left. Quietly he lifted the dead mans body and placed it on the wooden slab. “No I wont be long, it may take a few hours for him to be done because he is so big but im doing it now.” Michael was in the dark vacant room watching as the man pushed the body into the furnace. “Babe, hold on im going out back so I can hear you better.” The man quickly left the room leaving Michael a chance to get out with out being seen.Quietly he made his way through the funeral home in the shadows, and quickly found a de door. Ealy he opened it seeing an alley he could stay on without being spotted. As the door began to shut behind him he could see a woman tting on a bench crying.===================================================== "I cant bring myself to leave yet,” her sobs were interrupted by the sound of a door clong. She turned to see no one, and began to look around in caution.“No I heard something, im still here.” She spoke into the phone as she searched for the creator of the noise. “I don’t know what it was, im just on edge with the funeral and all the talk about that Myers guy all over the news. I don’t even know if I want I want to live in Haddonfield anymore Mom, there has been two mass murders in two years and now my husband is gone. I have nothing here anymore and I don’t feel safe.” She could feel eyes on her, and in the distance she knew she could hear breathing. She began to fumble around in her purse for her car keys. “I know its late Mom, im gonna head home now though okay. I love you.” She tossed her phone on the bench and began frantically searching for the keys. She found them and gripped them tight in her hands, she placed her phone and her purse and through it over her shoulder. As she turned around to make her way to her car she was startled by a large man standing in the outskirts of the light, and as she squinted to see who it was her heart skipped a beat.“Oh my God,” her eyes widened and her survival instincts kicked in. Her feet began to run in the oppote direction and a scream attempted to escape her throat.================================================Viciously Michael grabbed her hair and through the woman head first into the brick building stopping her attempt to scream. As her body hit the floor he could see blood drain from her hairline, and as her body began trying to get up he gripped her throat. Swiftly she began to fight, kicking and punching where ever it may land as he lifted her to eye level. He enjoyed himself as the life started to drain from her eyes, and he ripped the door open to the funeral home bringing her with.He stalked his way down the hallways with her flaccid body still in hand, with her broken breaths coming in short spurts he knew she was still alive. Finally he reached the crematorium and gripped her by her hair, coming to the woman screamed in fear. Ferociously Michael tossed her into the fire which almost instantly muffled her screams, and to keep her from making a final attempt to survive he slammed the door shut.=================================================== “Hold on,” the diener peaked inde the door. “Ill call you back I think I heard someone,” he slid his phone into his pocket and took a step into the building. Feeling nauseous with fear he began to slowly make his way though the building. He knew he heard someone, posbly even a scream. Michael Myers rushed into his thoughts, but he knew he already began his cremation process. Maybe he got out, maybe Michael Myers was going to kill him. His breaths quickened with the terrifying thoughts, in the distance he could hear wind. He watched his feet making sure he stepped in the most light, making sure to keep distance from the shadows. Before his heart exploded with suspense the de door came into view, taking in the room before acting he realized he was alone. Quickly he made his way to the door and looked out, no one was around.Leaves rustled in the alley caung him to take in a breath of fear, who was there? Trying to make out someone in the distance his concentration was disturbed by his phone startling him into what he was sure was a heart attack, “Hello?”He turned seeing a purse on the floor next to a bench, “No honey you scared the hell out of me. I thought someone was in here with me.” He bent down picking it up, he remembered a lady tting out on this de earlier.

=============================================================Seeing his opportunity Michael stepped from behind the tree and stared at the man for a moment before making his way down the alley and into the darkness.================================================“No, no one is here honey.” The diener turned to see someone walking away down the alley. “Just a purse of a some lady that was here earlier,” he stepped back inde and closed the door making sure it was locked. “Yeah im fine ill be home in a little bit,” he once again ended the call and stared into the dark alley. Whoever that was, was rather tall; with a chill down his spine he hoped the lady made it home alright.================================================“Angel,” a voice rang through Laurie’s head. “Angel,” once more it called but she couldn’t wake from her sleep. She wanted to, every nerve in her body was trying to react to this voice. Still nothing happened, “ANGEL!” This time Laurie woke, startled. The voice changed into a demonic growl, so different from the caring motherly voice from before.tting up she took a look around her room, she was alone. Someone had to be calling her by that name, she slowly turned her body to the edge of the bed and rose to her feet. She could see a light flickering through the window on the door and onto the solid white wall, it didn’t feel right. She didn’t feel safe, she felt alone and vulnerable. As she reached the door she convinced herself to look, blood was strolled along the walls. The ceiling tiles were hanging down, wires were sparking as they hung as well, and in the distance she could see someone move. The flickering of the lights making it hard to focus on them, and she leaned forward trying to catch a better glimpse. She was certain it was one of the orderlies, but they looked injured. As her weight pushed against the door it slowly came open, and glancing around she realized the power was out."Michael?” The name escaped without her meaning to say it, she pushed the door open and took a deep breath. She could feel the blood on the floor making her slide forward a bit, and tears began to flow from her eyes. He was here, still coming after her. With the flicker of the lights making the tuation much more confung she stopped, trying to gather where to go she glanced down the surrounding hallways. Thinking she realized which hallway to travel and took a step forward, she didn’t want to travel down this hallway. The only light was coming from a wire hanging from the ceiling half way down, swallowing back the fear she began to make her way towards the light. Just as she was able to make out objects close to the flickering she stopped in her tracks, the light traveled over a familiar face. As the light lost its glow for a moment she processed what it was she witnessed, his mask. The light flickered again revealing he was much closer, and as panic set in the pit of Laurie’s stomach she began to run the oppote way. With no idea where to go she mply followed her feet, back at her room she made a right. Remembering she saw an orderly running in this direction maybe he found a way out. Rushing into one of the first doors she seen she crouched under the small window and locked the handle, with the only source of light lasting a few seconds on and off she struggled to see. Catching a glimpse of a metal utenl she reached forward and got to her feet, gripping the surgical steel she hugged the door with deep breaths. Slowly she peaked into the hallway to see nothing, the sound of someone crying behind her caught her attention. Looking back she could see no one, but realized the room had another door. Swallowing back what fear she had she turned to make sure he wasn’t close, to her disbelief he was staring back at her. A loud scream filled the small area and as she turned to run someone opened the door she intended to escape into, a bloody orderly gripped her arm.“We need to run, he has killed everyone!” He was in hysterics, clearly unable to fully function.“Come on he is right behind us,” Laurie tried to step forward with the man but he held her in place. Between the violent cry’s of the man in front of her and the grunting of Michael as he began to tear through the door Laurie couldn’t think. “Let me go!” She fought his grip, but her attempt for freedom was overpowered. Holding her even tighter the man began to lose all sanity, Laurie knew she had to break free from his grip. Swiftly she lifted the blade and tore it into his temple with her free hand, instantly he let go. She gripped him by his throat and shoved him against the wall, with anger she impaled his stomach and began to tear through it. Screaming with rage she stabbed once more, ripping further. Finding that her hand was no longer stopped by his flesh but greeted with warmth she tightening her grip on his throat she looked down, his intestines began to seep onto the floor and a smile twisted upon her face. Letting go of his cooling skin she turned to the door he came from and gripped the handle, to her surprise it wouldn’t turn.Panic, with a hint of rage ran through her. Lifting the blade into the key hole she tried to pick the lock, looking back she could see the door was about to cave under Michael’s strength. Tosng the blade to the floor she dropped to her knees and pulled the orderly’s body to her. Moving the organs that covered his belt she searched for the keys. Feeling the warming metal graze her flesh she began to detach them from his belt loop. Frantically she returned to the door and began to try the keys, time and again it wasn’t the correct match. Hearing the door reaching its limits she attempted one more key, it slid in perfectly. Before she could twist the key to unlock the tumblers Michael’s power finally broke through the door, and within seconds was standing behind of her.Twisting the key and handle multaneously the door opened caung Laurie to lose her balance and fall forward, gripping the floor for support she attempted to reach her feet. The room was full of glass cabinets that contained medicine, it was a dead end. Running to the other de to put as much space between her brother and herself she felt his hand grab hold of her hair. Viciously he tossed her forward into the glass that began shredding into her face, blood began to fall as she hit the floor. Her breath was taken away with the impact, attempting to stand again her hands became imbedded with shards of glass. Before she could reach her knees he had hold of her once more, and with a demonic growl he through her to the other de of the room. Landing on a metal counter Laurie let out a pain filled scream, quickly it was muffled by his large hands clasping down on her mouth. Picking her head up off the metal he viciously slammed it back down before lifting her once more, again he threw her helpless body. The glass tore into her back as she collided with the cabinet, falling face first she fell limp with pain. His hand gripped her hair and lifted her to her feet, somehow she found the will to stand. Before she had enough time to process the thought of moving his hand was around her throat and lifting her to his eye level.“Please,” Her words were cut off by the tightening of his grip and the blood filled cries. “Michael,” Again she tried to speak. Savagely he thrust the blade forward and tore a hole in her abdomen, a shriek of pain escaped under the pressure of his hand. He began repeating this step over and again until she could feel her innards spilling out of her.==================================================Waking from the dream Laurie immediately reached for her mouth to cover the scream, she couldn’t let them hear. If they knew she was still dreaming they would keep her longer, and she had made so much progress. The only thing left were the dreams, and they weren’t very often. Quietly sobbing she took her hand from her mouth and touched her stomach, it all felt too real.Feeling her normal flesh she exhaled and began to wipe the tears away, “Its just a dream Laurie.”After a year of being in this mental institution she felt she was as healed as she could be, a normal life was going to be the final stitch in the wound. Today was the day she was going to speak with the psychiatrist about leaving, the thought of freedom was almost unbearable. The ability to live on her own, somewhere no one knew of the tragedy that followed her through life. It was a nice thought, one that needed to become reality soon.Making her way through the daily routine, she began to grow impatient. As always when you need time to quicken its pace it always seems to slow to an agonizing crawl. After what felt like an entire day lunch was done being served and a young orderly walked up to Laurie. She had a decent friendship with this girl, yet Laurie could never really remember her name. She knew that she would come into work every day with her hair highlighted hair pulled back, and the most pretty makeup Laurie could remember seeing. She liked the way this girl presented herself, it was full of life and composure. “Hey you,” She had a warm smile, it made Laurie’s hopes grow even higher. “Hey,” Laurie smiled back knowing why she was here. “Are you ready?” She held her hand out to help Laurie from the chair, it was a nice gesture. Nice but not needed. They made their way to his office and before she reached the door the orderly stopped, “I know that whatever you talk about today is going to be good. And if you happen to be released I am going to miss you more than you know,” she pulled Laurie close and gave her a hug.“Thank you,” Laurie stared into her eyes momentarily. “I will miss you too, but I need out of here.” She faked a smile as the orderly nodded in agreement, taking a breath she opened the door. “Dr. Murphy?” The now open door way revealed him to be on the phone, she grinned as he motioned for her to t. Hanging up the phone he placed his hands together and ghed, “Laurie. How are we doing today?” His head tilted to the left as he watched her, examining her every move. “I feel great, everything seems to be going well.” She ran her fingers through her hair and looked down, hoping he wouldn’t ask about the dreams. She knew she would have to lie, and she knew he might catch doing so. However it was the only option, the dreams worried him beyond her comprehenon. Were they really that important, anyone that went through what she went through is going to have some kind of constant reminder of the pain. The terror that has defined her life, a revelation that would ealy make your world turn upde down. Even the strongest person would have at least a dream, and Laurie knew she was strong.“Im glad to hear that Laurie, I think you have made tremendous progress over the year you have been here.” He paused, waiting for her to respond. What to say? She knew that the slightest contradiction to his statement would send this conversation in a downward spiral, but she had to say something. Laurie knew that her understanding smiles wouldn’t be enough to convince him she was healed. “Yes, I think I have came a long ways from when I first came here. You and everyone here have really helped me through this,” the understanding smile still flashed across her face. “Im glad to hear that you believe in everyone in this building has contributed to your healing, everyone plays an important part in such a fragile tuation like yours Laurie.” Taking off his glasses Dr. Murphy squinted his small brown eyes and looked down, running his finger over his full lips he smirked before making eye contact.. She wasn’t sure what this meant, he never truly shown much emotion in their interactions. Was this going to be good news, or bad news. Either way it would be life changing, and quietly she drew in a breath of preparation. “I would like to begin the final evaluations, and prepare for your release.” He smiled at her, once again taking in her actions. The words hit her like a brick, almost taking her breath away. She sat motionless feeling her eyes swell with tears of joy, as excited as she was she couldn’t function enough to release the emotion. She was days away from freedom, something that was almost unbearable.=================================================

This is fantastic! I cant imagine the studio coming up with anything this good for their own sequel.

They should really take note of the fans and... well, hire YOU to write the film. lol

It thrills me that you and everyone else who likes what I have written so far truly believes in me!! The support is great!! It would be a dream come true for the studio to hire me to write this story!! I have been so pasonate about the Halloween series ever nce I was a SMALL child, and after the mess Rob made with part 2 I want to redeem the series in the same way H20 did for the originals!!

I am so glad you and every one else loves this so far and I can't wait for yall to read what I have, in the hopes that you like the direction I am taking it!!

I would also love to hear what you are expecting in the next two segments of my story!! I promise I won't disappoint!

Wow, finished reading this today. Thought i would comment on the seperate parts and tell you what i like.

I really like how you pick up right where Robs leaves off, and you keep it emotional. Michael's escape seemed smart, and i like that he was staying in the shadows. The dream was excellent, i can definitely see this as a movie

Thank you, i did want to keep it very emotional. It needed to be, after everything that happened. The entire point of H2 was to deal with the aftermath. Laurie lost everything again, as did Brackett, and i didnt want to throw away what Rob had. I wanted it to be a smooth transaction into a new normal Laurie. I also wanted to show that Michael changed, a little sooner than Laurie. However, in my opinion, it shows that Michael has been a smart being all along.

I like how you pick up where H2 ended. In the Director's Cut of H2 the story is over at the end but by re-shooting the ending for the Theatrical release, it leaves the door open for a sequel.

My favorite part in Part One of your story is Brackett and Laurie talking in her room. I liked how Laurie's expresons and demeanor changed and what she said to Brackett regarding Annie & Loomis was ck. It would have been interesting if Laurie had taken credit for Annie's death. I see that you definitely followed the opening of H2... The aftermath of Halloween, Michael escaping, Laurie's dream, and her reality after the dream. It all works well but one idea I had was to have Laurie dream about Michael's body being cremated rather than Michael in the hospital. So instead of her thinking Michael is still alive, she is convinced by her dreams that Michael is dead. Also, the scene where Michael escapes the morgue could be postponed to give the reader the impreson that Michael is dead. That would set it up really nicely when Laurie and the reader discovers that Michael is still alive. The only flaw is that right now after reading Part One, the story looks too predictable. HOWEVER... I'm not criticizing your work. You do good work, I do like what you're going for, and I will read the rest of Halloween III. When I am done I will give you my full review and after reading each part I will leave a comment regarding my thoughts on each one. Good job.

Yeah, it was apparent i was going to have start off with the theatrical veron =p It does bother me that so many people watched two different verons of H2. Like i stated in my comment to JakeRyan, i wanted to keep it emotional. I think we didnt get too much emotion at the end of H2, and i feel that we needed just a little more time with Brackett and Laurie to peel back the skin a little more. I also wanted to show why Laurie was in an institution at the end of the theatrical. You do have an interesting point, and if i had intended to spend more time with Laurie in the institution i might have. However, the dream takes place after she has been in the institution for a year...and the main point of the dream was to show that she still feels inde she could snap at any moment and become her brother. And if doing so he would win, thats why she dies at the end of the dream. Thank you for actually reading this, and dont worry about the criticism. I enjoy it, i dont view it as negative, rather as constructional =) Thanks bro
