New 'RoboCop' Image Reveals OmniCorp's EM-208 Humanoid Drone
It's been quite some time anything new has surfaced form the upcoming RoboCop retelling. However, today we were treated to a new visual from the film showcang the very intimidating EM-208 Humanoid Drone which is part of OmniCorp’s product line. Kudos goes out to the webte Latino Review for scoring the eye-candy.
Originally planned for a summer release of August 9, 2013, the Jose Padilha film starring Joel Kinnaman as the titular character, will now hit theaters on February 7, 2014 oppote DreamWorks' Need For Speed.
In the film, "the year is 2029, and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the centre of robot technology. Their drones are winning American wars around the globe, and now they want to bring this technology to the home front.
Alex Murphy is a loving husband, father, and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit. After he is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp utilizes its remarkable science of robotics to save Alex’s life. He returns to the streets of his beloved city with amazing new abilities but with issues a regular man has never had to face before."
Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton, and Samuel L. Jackson co-star along with Abbie Cornish, Jackie Earle Haley, Michael K. Williams, Jay Baruchel, Jennifer Ehle, and Marianne Jean-Baptiste.
