See What Leatherface Almost Looked Like in "Texas Chainsaw 3D"

Artist Jerad Marantz, who worked on such films as "Rise of the Planet of the Apes," "Transformers: Dark of the Moon," and "Avatar," has unveiled a few ideas for the look of Leatherface in "Texas Chainsaw 3D," which is currently playing in theaters.

Marantz posted three pieces of art, showing how the character would wear his masks made of skin. The final degn (pictured) ended up being very different, but these concept art shots should give you an idea of the direction the film was headed in.

"Texas Chainsaw 3D" was released last weekend, quickly becoming a hit by taking first place at the domestic box office, even beating "The Hobbit." But in its second weekend, the film dropped all the way to ninth place, posbly hurting its chances of getting a sequel.

Very intereng concepts, I don't know why he likes the eye holes so far apart from each other, makes it look like a sloth or something. For me nothing can touch the look of the remake leatherface mask.
