Daniel Radcliffe Shows Interest In Paul McGuigan's Take On Frankenstein

It seems as if British thesp Daniel Radcliffe is really trying to break out of his boyish Harry Potter role in a big way. Earlier this year the 23-year old actor starred in the horror flick The Woman in Black, now it's being reported by The Wrap that Radcliffe is very interested in playing the lead role of Hunchback in Paul McGuigan’s revionist take on the clasc tale.

The film is currently in the works at Twentieth Century Fox, where the focus for now is getting a finalized script, at which point serious talks will begin with actors, the person said.

Earlier this month, McGuigan gned on to direct the film for Fox and producers Davis Entertainment.

Based on a script by Max Landis (“Chronicle”), this adaptation of Mary Shelley's novel of the same name, puts a sci-fi take on this clasc story about a creature produced through a scientific experiment. Hunchback is described as pathologically dirty and dressed in old clowns clothing.

It seems as if Hollyweird is going coco for Frankenstein-based projects as several dozen other projects are in the works.
