Very Latest On The Next TEXAS CHAIN SAW Film!

Back at the beginning of 2013 the world received the release of TEXAS CHAINSAW 3D which took us on a ride with a lost member of the Sawyer family who finally comes to grips with the fact that her long lost real family was totally insane, thus being saved by her cousin Leatherface at end of the film.

Last month we brought you the big news that a new TEXAS CHAIN SAW film, simply titled LEATHERFACE, will be a prequel and is indeed in the works. The official plot details are tight lipped but it is said that it will be serving as an origin story that follows Leatherface's early years in the 1970's.

We have now learned that Seth M. Sherwood has been hired on to write the prequel to the original 1974 horror classic. Millennium Films is financing the project and producing the LEATHERFACE movie will be Carl Mazzocone, along with Christa Campbell and Lati Grobman as executive producers. Production is expected to begin as early as this winter and a director should be announced very soon.
