Big Update On The Next AMITYVILLE Movie - Trailer Within!

The next installment into the AMITYVILLE film series has been in the works for a long while now. A very promising official trailer hit the scene some time ago (see below). A release date was even made, but then the movie was pushed back into the land of wonder. Director Frankc Khalfoun and Producer Jason Blum were among those wondering when we may see a release date and today we finally have an answer.

The new film will officially be released on April 15, 2016. It began with the title of AMITYVILLE: THE AWAKENING, and then earlier this month we learned from The Motion Picture Association of America that the title would be AMITYVILLE: THE REAWAKENING. Just to make things very clear now the title has now once again reverted back to AMITYVILLE: THE AWAKENING according to the official Twitter page of Blumhouse.

AMITYVILLE: THE REAWAKENING stars Jennifer Jason Leigh, Bella Thorne, McKenna Grace, Cameron Monaghan, Taylor Spreitler, Thomas Mann and Jennifer Morrison.

Synopsis:

“Belle, her little sister, and her comatose twin brother move into a new house with their single mother Joan in order to save money to help pay for her brother’s expensive healthcare. But when strange phenomena begin to occur in the house including the miraculous recovery of her brother, Belle begins to suspect her Mother isn’t telling her everything and soon realizes they just moved into the infamous Amityville house.”



AMITYVILLE: THE AWAKENING will be released April 15, 2016.
