Bringing you the best in Horror Movie News, and all things Horror.
It is well known that Universal has decided to take it's Classic monsters and give them reboots. The studio is in the process of bringing them back to life on the big screen, with the idea of creating it's own universe to where characters can cross over from different films.
One of the projects in particular that has been on the forefront is a reboot for THE MUMMY. Filming began several months ago and back then paparazzi captured some images of Tom Cruise and Annabelle Wallis on set. Fast forward to the present day and we get our first look at the new Mummy.
Sofia Boutella as the new Mummy was photographed on the streets of London yesterday while filming a sequence that involved large fans and many extras tumbling around. We bring you the first images of Boutella as the Mummy courtesy of ComingSoon. In the pictures we see the monster possibly controlling some kind of supernatural force as chaos goes on around her.
Alex Kurtzman directs and produces THE MUMMY with Jon Spaihts responsible for the script.
Cruise, Wallis, and Boutella, are joined by Jake Johnson, Courtney B. Vance, Marwan Kenzari, Javier Botet, and Russell Crowe as Dr. Henry Jekyll.
Look for THE MUMMY to arrive in theaters June 9, 2017.
