Bringing you the best in Horror Movie News, and all things Horror.
2013 saw the release of the mostly well received film CURSE OF CHUCKY. Many fans feel that this was a rebirth for the franchise, and it looks that way as it's sequel CULT OF CHUCKY now has production well underway in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
Jennifer Tilly has been excited as of late, sharing images of her and Tiffany packing for the journey ahead. Today we bring you two more images that she has decided to share on Twitter, this time from the set of CULT OF CHUCKY.
We see Tilly and creator/director Don Mancini pictured together in the first image and then in the second one we see Fiona Dourif, Alex Vincent (Andy), and Tilly.
Also returning to the franchise will be Brad Dourif, who provides the voice of Chucky.
CULT OF CHUCKY will follow Fiona Dourif's character Nica Pierce from the previous film CURSE OF CHUCKY as she is:
"at an asylum for the criminally insane where she has been confined for the past four years and is erroneously convinced that she, not Chucky, murdered her entire family. But when Nica's psychiatrist introduces a new therapeutic "tool" to facilitate his patients' group sessions — an all-too-familiar "Good Guy" doll with an innocently smiling face — a string of grisly deaths begins to plague the asylum, and Nica starts to wonder if maybe she isn't crazy after all. Andy Barclay (Vincent), Chucky's now-grown-up nemesis from the original Child's Play, races to Nica's aid. But to save her he'll have to get past Tiffany (Tilly), Chucky's long-ago bride, who will do anything, no matter how deadly or depraved, to help her beloved devil doll."
Mancini will write, direct, and serve as executive producer on CULT OF CHUCKY which is being produced by David Kirschner and Ogden Gavanski. Leading the special effects team as well as associate producing is Tony Gardner. Michael Marshall is the director of photography, Craig Sandells is the production designer and Patricia J. Henderson is the costume designer.
Glenn Ross, General Manager and Executive Vice President at Universal 1440 Entertainment Glenn Ross previously said the following about the project:
"It's hard to believe that it's been nearly 30 years since Chucky first terrified moviegoers in Child's Play. Since then the films have generated millions in worldwide box-office revenue. Now Chucky's back with more scores to settle in his trademark twisted style, and you can bet he won't stop until he gets his revenge."
CULT OF CHUCKY will be getting an unrated release on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD this Fall.
