Lin Shaye Joins The Cast Of The Upcoming Reboot Of THE GRUDGE!

As most of you know, THE GRUDGE is a popular Horror film that is also a remake of the Japanese film, JU-ON: THE GRUDGE. There have been plans to reboot THE GRUDGE for a while, and we learned not long ago that the project is indeed moving forward.

Sony has chosen Nicolas Pesce to write and direct THE GRUDGE reboot. JEFF Buhler previously penned the script a few years ago, but Buhler will be adding his own twist to it.

Just last week it was announced that Demian Bichir and John Cho had joined the cast of the upcoming reboot of THE GRUDGE.

Sony has now acquired Lin Shaye of INSIDIOUS fame, to join the cast of this new version of THE GRUDGE. There are no details available on her character as of yet.

A Ghost House Pictures film, THE GRUDGE reboot is produced by Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert, with Nathan Kahane, Erin Westerman, Schuyler Weiss, Roy Lee, Doug Davison, John Middleton, and Andrew Pfeffer.

“A mysterious and vengeful spirit marks and pursues anybody who dares enter the house in which it resides.”

THE GRUDGE reboot is expected to begin filming this May in Winnipeg. We will continue to follow this story as it unfolds.
