Bringing you the best in Horror Movie News, and all things Horror.
Back near the beginning of the year, it was revealed that Chucky would be making his way over to television in a CHILD’S PLAY television series and now, out of nowhere, it has been revealed that a feature length remake is in the works.
THR reports that MGM is going to quickly be developing a CHILD’S PLAY remake. Lars Klevberg will be directing as Tyler Burton Smith will write the screenplay. David Katzenberg and Seth Grahame-Smith will be producing. Filming could begin in Vancouver by September if things run smoothly.
The CHILD’S PLAY remake will focus on a toy doll possessed by the soul of a serial killer. Collider reports that the remake will be a contemporary reboot involving a group of kids, and a technologically advanced doll that enters their world. Only time will tell what the doll in the new movie will look like.
At this point it is not known if Don Mancini, co-creator of CHILD’S PLAY will be involved in the project or not.
We will continue to keep you updated on the CHILD’S PLAY remake as we hear it.
