As most of you know, THE GRUDGE is a popular Horror film that is also a remake of the Japanese film, JU-ON: THE GRUDGE. There have been plans to reboot THE GRUDGE for a while, and we learned not long ago that the project was indeed moving forward.
Sony has chosen Nicolas Pesce to write and direct THE GRUDGE reboot. JEFF Buhler previously penned the script a few years ago, but Buhler will be adding his own twist to it.
We have now learned that the reboot, simply titled GRUDGE, has been pushed back six months and won't see release until January 3rd 2020.
A Ghost House Pictures film, GRUDGE is produced by Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert, with Nathan Kahane, Erin Westerman, Schuyler Weiss, Roy Lee, Doug Davison, John Middleton, and Andrew Pfeffer.
GRUDGE stars Andrea Riseborough, Demian Bichir, John Cho, Lin Shaye, Betty Gilpin, Jacki Weaver, William Sadler, and Frankie Faison.
“A mysterious and vengeful spirit marks and pursues anybody who dares enter the house in which it resides.”
Remember, GRUDGE will arrive into theaters on January 3rd 2020.
