Mark Hamill Will Provide The Voice Of Chucky in CHILD’S PLAY Remake - Trailer Within!

It wasn't too long ago that we all learned of MGM gearing up to reboot CHILD'S PLAY. Aubrey Plaza is set to play Andy's mother, and Brian Tyree Henry will be taking on the role of Detective Mike Norris. LIGHTS OUT star Gabriel Bateman has been cast as young Andy. Lars Klevberg directs.

In the upcoming Child's Play remake, the Buddi doll Chucky is "more than just a toy, he's your best friend".

It has been announced that Mark Hamill will voice Chucky in the new movie.

The news of Hamill voicing Chucky was revealed at WonderCon.

In addition to playing Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars franchise, Hamill has an extensive career in voice acting, with one of his most memorable roles being The Joker in multiple Batman projects, including Batman: The Animated Series.

Instead of a Good Guys doll, Chucky will be a Buddi doll with artificial intelligence capabilities.

Synopsis:

"Child’s Play follows a mother (Plaza) who gives her son (Bateman) a toy doll for his birthday, unaware of its more sinister nature."



The original 1988 film was directed by Tom Holland from a screenplay written by Don Mancini. It starred Catherine Hicks, Dinah Manoff, Chris Sarandon, Alex Vincent, and Brad Dourif as the voice of Chucky. The remake is directed by Lars Klevberg (POLAROID) from a screenplay written by KUNG FURY 2 writer Tyler Burton Smith with STEPHEN KING'S IT producers David Katzenberg and Seth Grahame-Smith producing.

The CHILD'S PLAY reboot will hit theaters on June 21st, 2019.
