okay ladies and gents...

If money was not an object whatsoever....why type of pieces would you collect?

Latex, Ren, or licone????

take care, Tommy

Ren for me (all the heads I have, except for an MMFX Cryptkeeper, are ren).

I'm just too scared anything latex would dry out, rot or just generally get destroyed (I have a skylight in my display room and have lot 4 vintage Star Wars masks to sunlight damage).

Unfortunately 98% of the best horror busts seem to be latex.

Are any F13th busts even available in ren (I only know of the Howard Studios FvJ bust)?

It all depends. Myers would always be latex, busts/displays would be ren, and masks such as Freddy's and Leatherfaces would be licone.

For actual wear I'd have to go with licone.

But for collecting purposes, primarily thinking of Myers pieces here, I have to stick with latex.

Not sure that the Myers mask would translate well to licone.

Gotta agree there....lol

I love Freddy in licone

With me, Material wouldn't be so much the issue as what it is that I'm collecting.

Ren obviously so it would last longer but licone for a more realistic touch.

Again, depends on what it is first and material would come second.

I'd have to agree with Dren.

I'm going with licone for the mple fact that I have yet to own a licone mask. Having a rather large head (a little secret about me) licone I imagine would fit like a glove plus it's buttery soft. There is nothing like good old fashioned latex don't get me wrong but for realism and comfort to wear, I am taking the big S.

Well Money is no object over here... When you don't have it to hold how can it be an object??? All jokes ade, I would just buy whatever I like and if it were something that I REALLLLLLY liked and it was latex, I would buy 2 copies of it and have one foam filled and stored away... Thats what I'd do...

Good Question Tommy. Although I like the licone because it is vertle for wearing. I still like the latex for the vintage feel. When It comes down to it I think I would go with Ren. Most Ren I have seen look way to cool not to collect. Tough choice, but money not being an object I guess I could get what ever whenever

Again, depends on what it is first and material would come second.

I think Joel's right. For me, what material I would prefer would depend entirely on what the piece was. My own thought is the vast majority of masks to wear and display really do look better in licone. On the other hand, vintage style masks (such as the gems we've been seeing from VXX) really do look better in latex. That being said, if you want to take a clasc monster like Frankenstein and give it a Bal Gogos looking paint scheme, you can only do that with ren.
