What is the first horror movie you ever saw?

i thought this would be a cool topic. whats the first horror film you saw and how was it? The first horror movie I saw was The Exorcist at the age of 10yrs old and it scared the living shit out of me..and now its one of my favorites..

My first was at the age of 3

It was an Italian

movie called Diabolica which was bacally an Exorcist rip-off but scared the hell out of me back then

I still remember the experience to this day.

the first horror movie i saw as a pup was the creature from the black lagoon. hooked every nce!

Poltergiest and it scared the hell out of me.

its tough to remember, i want to believe it was friday the 13th but i actually think it was dales from the darkde the movie.

The movie he Troll and im not kidding when i say this, it scared the living shit out of me. I have never went back to watch it and it still bothers me to this day!

creepshow and like many of you guys said, i think i was hooked right then and there!

I'm pretty sure mine was one of the Christopher Lee Dracula movies.

The first horror movie I remember seeing, which was also the first R rated movie I saw, was THE SHINING and I was about 12-13 years old when I saw it at a friend's house at his sleepover birthday party.

Later that night, the friend and one other friend snuck off when were all sleeping, recorded themselves on a tape deck saying in a high pitched voice "red rum" over and over again in the middle of the tape and then came back into the room. They hit play on the tape deck and shortly after we were all in the room sleeping and were awakened by this creepy voice saying and then screaming "red rum!" over and over. It was great... freaked us all out

(except obviously for the two kids who made the tape) because we were all in the room sleeping, it was dark and we didn't know who it was at first until they cracked up laughing.

The first Nightmare on Elm Street....I believe I was 7yrs old. Had the same nightmare for a month and was hooked ever nce lol

The first one I saw in the theater was Jaws.

On Saturday mornings there was one tv station that used to show the old Universal & RKO clascs as well as some of the 50s B movies and I used to watch those instead of cartoons. No clue which of those was the first one that I saw.
