Jackie Chan told the press way back that it was changed to Kung-Fu kid but then they put Karate Kid on the trailer and even the imdb says Karate Kid.WTF The whole movie takes place in Beijing not in the US

The title wouldn't make any sense at all. Is this another re-imagining??

I saw the trailer for this shit-fest the other day. Looks like crap and has NOTHING in common with the OG. Plus Im ck of the fresh prince's kid. Theres a million kids out there who need work, we dont need daddy getting his little rich boy role after role.

I am a huge fan of the original and I am more than willing to give this one a shot. Based upon his past work, I am willing to give Jayden a chance in something like this...

I'd say the answer is No, the KK did not need to be remade. And if they were going to remake it, don't make it with kids who look like they're eight. I think it looks pretty bad.

im speechless, i never even heard of this remake, it's going to be terrible,

im glad the kids name isnt Daniel in this one, my name's Daniel and the original Karate Kid movies came out when i was in grade school and i must have been called "Daniel San" 10 times a day for 5 or 6 years because they made 3 of these damn movies!!!

the original Karate Kid movie was great, no where to go but down for this remake

I'm just glad they didn't copy the story. The Kung Fu Kid title should have stuck. Too many clascs are being screwed with and it sucks. For the most part, it seems like no one has any original ideas and ruin good movies for cash-cows. As much as I despised going to see it, there's nothing else to do in the "sand-box".

It was o.k. at best as a movie by itself. I am just glad I didn't have to pay to see it.
