Have you ever seen a direct-to-DVD that was worth it?

HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A DIRECT-TO-DVD MOVIE THAT WAS WORTH BEING MADE?

I ask this because I've learned they are working on a 30 DAYS OF NIGHT sequel that will be straight to DVD release.

I thought the first film was great but if a sequel can't make a theatrical release should it even have the money and time spent to make it?

Most Direct to DVD films I've watch have ALWAYS been a let down and I often wish the studio hadn't wasted the money or wasted my time LOL.

In these direct to home release movies it feels like the plots are always terrible and the special effects are crap.

Am I alone in this thinking and can you name me any good direct to DVD movies (bede pornos LOL)?

I never really put any thought into how bad direct to DVD's normally are . . . then I started wondering how much money they rack in because they keep making them.

Must be a market for them . . . .but what happens to this kind of movie when hard copy formats go extinct and everything is downloadable?

Do we get more crap movies or less?

"Seson 9." Or did that get a limited release?? It may have, because I can remember Sean Clark going to see a preview of it out in Cali.

I never have. In the past they've always been huge disappointments (even though I didn't expect them to be great, I always hoped for a gem).
