HE Came Home...for Christmas!

Most of you "old timers" know that I use to be heavily into the whole Micahel Myers collecting scene. The term "white mask" was even coined on this very te due to the big bad wolf over at a certain HalloweeeN production company. We won't even go there.

Needless to say, I got out of the game for many reasons. It was good times for the most part and I do miss a lot of the fun that I use to have collecting. But, the future doesn't involve the "white mask" scene and thank God the days of dealing with overzealous mask makers is over with. We will always have memories though! To get to the point at hand, there are always tons for great people in a sea of bad apples when dealing with just about anything in life and one of the good guys that have been there nce the beginning is Mr. Michael Aspinwall. He is one dude that loves HalloweeN, horror and frankly people. He's a cool cat that I am glad to call a friend.

I have been Myers-less for a year or so now and was looking for a mask to go atop our annual Christmas Myers tree this year. He stepped into action and through a super secretive trade I pulled off a score of a lifetime, SAMHAIN. Yes, the famous or infamous SAMHAIN mask made by an old buddy Gary Phillips aka THE MASK MAKER aka MASK MAKER PRODUCTIONS aka rip off artist in many minds. This mask was sculpted by the legendary John Smith in 2000 and started the craze of the custom indie Myers masks that you see today. Actually it was probably Sean Clark's small that created the frenzy but we don't have time for that today. Anyway, this mask appears to have been repainted and haired. Maybe by Justin Mabry? The only reason I say that is because the mask has turned yellow due to age (which I love) and the fact that Mabry use to use some spray that caused this yellowish tint. I could be wrong here but that is what I was told back in the day. Forgive me Justin if that's not true. Either way I love the mask.

Below is a picture of our Myers tree and quite posbly one of the coolest Myers masks I have owned. I thank Mike for all the help and all of you "old timers" that continue to have fun with the genre. Enough of the chit chat, onto the pic!

Hey thanks guys. As said famously in A CHRISTMAS VACATION, She's a bute Clark!!! Thanks again Mike, this mask has a sorted history and fits perfect on the "tree". Now if only I could find out where that Bennet Tramer kid was, oh wait. He's dead.
