Which is better?

On the most recent episode of RIR I debated with Alex which was better H6 or Friday 8. I wanna know which one you think is better. Vote now and I'll go over the results on Saturday's show!

H6 is just a better film. In Friday 8 they're in NY for less than half the movie, and it's not even really NY except for the Times Square shot.

By far H6 out batted F13th part VIII. I will never get over the boat getting from inland Crystal Lake to the sea. That was the stupidest thing they could have ever thought of. If they wanted to get Jason to Manhattan then there were a lot more plauble ways of doing so. Were the writers like five years old or something. H6 hands down...

Thank you! I'm so glad I'm not the only one!

had JTM been done correctly it would have been better but because they decided to pinch pennies because it wasnt a good story to begin with it failed in my eyes

i still like the movie dont get me wrong

BUT it could have been so much more

H6 in theatrical release form stinks but is much better than JTM

h6 was way better in my eyes. jtm was entertaining but not nearly as good a movie.

JTM should have....and could have...been a lot of fun and the better film. Sadly, the director and writers were on crack or something. The film has "Manhattan" in its title! where is it? lol except as mentioned for the Time Square scene, its devoid of any real NYC. BTW the punks were real, that at least was genuine!

H6 in its "directors" cut is superior.

As much as I think the movie sucks, I have to go with Halloween 6.

I can't believe that even though Thorn completely compromised the character of Michael, people still prefer this over JTM. The burning of the hay? The cult... the incest and rape of Jamie Lloyd. The casting of Jamie. Loomis being a parody of himself.

I guess it's true, I really do have a diff POV then the majority of people.

Loomis wasn't a parody of himself he was ck and played the part to the best of his ability.

While I have much love for JTM, I had to vote H6. It is a better movie.

However Jasons look in 8 is awesome. The hock is hands down my favorite. The slimy costume is great too. Only thing that is upsetting is the muppet face they gave him on his reveal. After looking so brutal in 7, I don't know how or why they traded his face up for 8.

As much as I love the Friday the 13th series I have to admit that Friday 8 is ridiculous on many a level. Halloween 6 is not the best of its series but it is much better than Friday 8

I'm loving this!
LoomisLives2010 Friday 1/07/2011 at 04:53 AM | 69352
H6 by far. Maybe it didn't do that good and lots of you didn't like it but it was definitely better than pt 3, resurrection, or Zombie's horrible attempts, and to me Michael will always win over Jason. Michael was pure evil, Jason was a "special" kid gone bad.... I think the only way the fans would vote Manhattan over a Halloween is if it was Zombie's shit or Resurrection.

H6's atmosphere, color palette, Loomis, soundtrack, and mask make H6 one of the better sequels....atmosphere and mask HAD ME
Hollywood Morgan Friday 1/07/2011 at 05:43 PM | 69368
You're so right Chris!

Wow that was a tuff one but I gotta go with H6....just all around a better movie. Jason takes manhatten was cool but Jason Lives was way better.
kweandee Sunday 1/09/2011 at 12:58 PM | 69447
ya the muppet reveal was a bit much for me lol
Johnny Bisco Sunday 1/09/2011 at 02:53 PM | 69452
Now I love the mask in JTM and alot of the movie is ok in my book my vote goes for H6. I love the Halloween feel to the film and I love the look of the mask. And it was a last goodbye for Loomis.

I THOUGHT THE JASON LOOK IN PART 8 WAS GREAT BUT THE MOVIE REALLY FAILED FOR ME.

H6 PUT ME BACK OT THE STREETS OF HADDON FIELD WITH THAT OPENING SHOT

WITH THE EERINESS AND IMO BRINGS THE MASK BACK TO MORE OF THE ORIGINAL HERO. TRYING TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE THE MASK IS ALMOST 20 PLUS YEARS OLD AND MYERS STILL HAS IT

TheShape1188 Saturday 1/22/2011 at 02:51 PM | 70467
I have to go with H6 be it the theatrical or the better veron as JTM was just so poorly done. It had such promise but the lack of time in NY really hurt and the really pathetic part of the boat getting out to sea blew my mind. The look of Jason was awesome till he was shown without it and the toxic waste idea blew chunks. H6 certainly had it's flaws such as not casting DH but Paul Rudd was awesome to me as Tommy Doyle and Donald's last film alone was enough to put it over the top for me. I hated the incest idea and the thorn crap but it just couldn't get worse then the way the blew it in JTM. I even remember walking to the theater in Waterville Maine with such hopes for JTM and walking home wanting to smack myself in the head with anything I could find for the way they "killed" one of the best Icons of horror and even worse turned him into a child after the sewage hit him.

I couldn't agree with you more! JTM in my opinion was the worst of the Paramount Fridays.
