Halloween Myers Knife WIP

Making up a better quality cardboard knife for my mannequins to hold. The first turned out pretty good and it can be seen in the hands of my H4 along with the wooden too I have. Although wood is very light it would still fall out so cardboard is perfect. This cardboard is thicker and even thick enough for costuming. So far I glues two together, used 4 handles and spray painted it chrome and black. This is just a test prototype and if it works out well I may do more. I am probably gonna give the same aged steel look as my last axe, but with more blood spatter. I want a clean one also but it is 30 degrees here and painting is tough as it freezes and bubbles. Plus the texture of the cardboard shows through quicker, so I got to keep bringing it back inde quickly. But once dirtied up you should not be able to tell much. I am working on the handle rivets now.

Also did one with my finger showing the thickness, and will be filling in the holes probably as well. Here is the first rough coats, will be doing the detailing later and pics outdoors. Hope it comes out well as my other one is kinda thin and flimsy.

Thanks guys. :) Just glued on the rivets I made also out of cardboard. I did not place them perfectly as this is a test knife. Could add blood now and keep it shiny looking, but I am going to try an aged steel Lamson look with blood.

Some more outdoor pics still clean. On my next one I am also gonna glue two pieces of smoother cardboard on the outdes as a test, that might be the final product if it turns out well.

Stage one aging coming out great so far. Will add blood next as a test. Next knife should be even better when I add thinner cardboard pieces on the des that are smoother and will make clean knives look better. Will get outdoor pics when done.

Tried ung some acrylics instead of spray paint and to get an aged old Lamson look. Still testing various color schemes. Camera doesn't pick them all up though, and changes colors when I get closer. I also added wood grain lines in the handle.
