Favorite 80's Horror Movie?

nce we have sort of a virtual 80's video rental store feel here on HorrorBid now it seems only fitting to see what movie of the decade is your favorite?

I will have to think of my favorite also because right now it's a cross between more than a couple. This is gonna be hard!

I can't do it...it's too hard you've got Halloween 2-4 (Not counting 5 cause even Donald couldn't save that one) 8 Fridays, Child's Play, 4 Elm Streets (5 is horrific) and everything in between. I'll have to do a lot of soul searching on this one.

The Burning of course.

Then I would have to say there are a ton of others right up there just behind it. The Friday the 13TH series, Elm Street, Evil Dead, Maniac Cop and so many more.

Well I have to exclude any of the big 4 F13th, Halloween, TCM and NOES, because installments of those franchises are among my all time favorites from the 80's namely F13th part VI and H4. But speaking away from those franchises I would have to say Night of the Creeps, Creepshow, Chopping Mall (that one was just fun), The Thing (JC veron), The Lost Boys, and Motel Hell just to name a few. I don't think I actually have an all time favorite 80's horror film , but if I had to choose one it would probably be tied between Night of the Creeps and Creepshow

I have my list and my list goes like this............... The one I watched the most Halloween 2 The one I rented the most Friday the 13th part IV The one that I feel is the most over looked The Prowler

The one that gets lost in it all MADMAN The one that I wish I could find it on DVD The Stuff

Those are the ones that I love in those ways and reasons why. I could also think of 64 horror movies (hint hint)

Vince The Stuff is available on netflix.

Now let's see. I for one find it far to hard to pick just one favorite from the 80's. I would have to say that the 80's is likely my favorite decade for horror films ade from the present time. The present time will always be the best time for horror films because you have access to all the films of today and all the films that came out in the past. Its just killer!

It's a tie between A Nightmare on Elm Street and Halloween 2. Runners up the rest of them
