i HATE when they do this, but nonetheless I'm still eager to see it. I hoping that lowering the rating doesn't take to much away from the movie.

I've seen a few PG-13 flicks that still delivered in the scare department. Still I'm on the fence about it.

I personally think it can work for this movie because like the story says, this is a haunt film. Its about scares not blood and gore. I'm giving it a chance.
What's the big deal, why can't we have some PG-13 horror? JAWS was PG if I remember correctly. I don't think they had PG-13 then but still it would have probably only been PG-13.

To me it would be more fo a big deal if it was TCM or Friday the 13th or Hellraiser getting the PG13 rating. Ghost stories and so on to me don't have to have the R rating but to each their own.

It could definitely work as a PG-13 film and you never know we could get an UNRATED DVD/Blu-ray release.

For me when I see a horror film or any film for that matter made these days and I see that it got a PG-13 rating that means right away that there will be no blood. And likely there will be nothing overly sexual. And the language will not be overly graphic. But because this is supposed to be a story involving ghosts then the gore, sex and graphic language may not be needed. Realistically the rating plays a big part in weather or not a film does well at the box office. There are fans out there who want R rated horror films. When they see that the theatrical release is in PG-13 they will wait till an unrated cut comes out on DVD or Blu-ray. It is as mple as that. Hollywood thinks that if they make a PG-13 film that more people will see it. They think the horror fans will see it as well as casual movie goers. But what happens is only the casual movie goers will see the film in the theater. They should be trying to get the super fans into the theaters by making the stuff they want. The kind of people who will see a film several times at the theater and then buy it the first day it comes out on disc.

I JUST SAW THE RITE LAST NIGHT, WHICH HAD A PG-13 RATING, WHICH I BELIEVE MADE THE MOVIE SUFFER. I COULD HAVE GONE FURTHER IF IT HAD THE R RATING. IF WAS DECENT JUST DIDN'T DELIVER LIKE I THOUGHT IT WAS GOING TO.
ANTHONY HOPKINS WAS AWESOME THOUGH, AS HE ALWAYS IS.
