anyone know the story behind this?

i know this is WAY old news but im trying to figure out why this is in Jason goes To Hell. The first time I saw it in theatres i was baffled by it and i still am. any ideas?

The same reason that the Creepshow "Antarctic Expedition" crate was in it. The filmmakers just threw in things that made them giggle.

, but yeah... the entire movie was full of references. They even mentioned the Myers house once I believe. The one that EVERYONE can remember is of course Freddy's hand at the end. That was a little too cheap for me, even if it was a gn of things to come (Freddy v.s. Jason). The whole damn movie was cheezy.

Yeah I know, even though it was a precursor to Freddy v.s. Jason, I still hate how cheap it is. I think the word "cheap" could sum up the entire movie for me. One part that stands out as cheap is the headshot in this scene.

this movie is a love hate thing for most people

some get it and some dont

me? i liked it because it was so different from the others although when i first saw it i hated it but as i got older i appreciated it more

I wouldn't say I hate it, I mean I own it and I watch it every now and then, but there are so many things in that movie that make me shake my head and wonder "why". But yeah, you're right about the love/hate thing.
