TCM vs TCM2 (originals)

Well I found the super packed dvd of texas chainsaw massacre for 5.00 so I had to get it. After watching it for like 20th time I say I like part 2 more than part 1. I like the cast and the underground tunnel scene. I mean Dennis Hopper you can beat it....

Plus the commentary is excellent

both are great but my fav is TCM part 2, cause everything is awesome the characters, the story, the sets. gotta love the underground tunnels with the corpses and bones art, Bubba, Chop-Top, The Cook and lefty are awesome and even L.G every actor did a great job by the way TCM2 is my fav film

I like 3 and 4 too. part 4 is a good movie and mcconaughey and zelweiger do a good job. I think 4 is the most under rated one.

part 3 kills it to with Ken Foree and Viggo. Plus how leather looks in that one is my favorite

TCM 2 is a lot of fun and is a killer horror flick, but it totally lacks the terror and mood of the first. The original TCM is one of the holy grails of horror, I dont think part 2 comes close nor do 98% of any other horrors. IMO the only film ahead of it is HALLOWEEN.

I know what you mean about the mood. The tone is different from the 1st.... It not so much that 2 is a better movie, I just rather watch 2 over 1, most of the time.

the first was straight terror where as the second one was more of a thrill ride..... i rather watch 2 over 1 because of the fun factor but all in all in the series 3 is by far the best in the entire series

It may be, my favorite scene is him with the speak and spell, He keeps typing FOOD

I loved that scene! One of my favorite (non-kill) moments in horror!

i also would have to take tcm2 over 1. i beleive that the 1st was the better movie by far . but the 2nd is much more suited to my personal taste.

I love them, both, in very different ways.

To me, both can stand alone just fine. I can watch both of the over and over and do.

I honesltly couldn't pick a fave between them because to me they are two very different but wonderful films.
