HorrorBid Death of the Day
Keeping with the theme of "head exploons", today's HorrordBid Death of the Day is from the David Cronenberg 1981 clasc SCANNERS. You should already instantly know which scene I'm talking about.....otherwise you should maybe turn in your horror fan ID card and throw on a "Team Edward" shirt!
Anyway, The scene we're viewing today is course the famous press conference "head exploon" scene where Darryl Revok (Michael Ironde) focuses his Scanner magic on the unfortunately named "First Scanner" (Louis Del Grande) and splatters head all over the table. According to IMDB, "The exploding head scene was accomplished by filling a latex head with dog food and rabbit livers, and shooting it from behind with a 12-gauge shotgun."........Works for me...enjoy.

Of course if you're in to conspiracy theories as I am, you might be interested in this next. Not only do I believe that this is what actually happened, but I also believe that it is a VERY valuable warning!
