First Look at “RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES”

The Planet of the Apes franchise is one that is truly unique and close to many people’s hearts. I for one love the series and feel like it plays on a much bigger stage and reflects our society in certain ways. I’ve been quietly following the prequel to Tim Burton’s remake, and I’m very eager after seeing the video teaser of the apes. More after the jump!

James Franco, John Lithgow, Freida Pinto, Andy Serkis, Brian Cox, Tom Felton all star in the feature that will be released August 5th, 2011.

For those who don’t know much about the prequel it is set in present-day San Francisco, 'Apes' reveals the origins of a war that ultimately led to a global apocalypse – and to Earth becoming the Planet of the Apes.

I have been following this for awhile. wish the would have stuck with Ceasar: Rise of the Apes. I liked burtons take on it. especially the ending (blew my mind)
