http://www.horrorbid.com/images/blog/3157. What do Brad Pitt, Leonardo Dicapro, Tom Hanks, Johnny Depp and Jennifer Aniston all have in common? They all made their big screen debut in horror movies. Brad Pitt- Cutting Class Leonardo Dicapro- Critters 3 Tom Hanks- He Knows Youre Alone Johnny Depp- A Nightmare on Elm Street Jennifer Aniston-Leprechaun

Speaking of Leprechaun, did you know that when Warwick Davis played the role of the evil Leprechaun he was

3" 6" tall? Thats exactly 7" taller then when he appeared as Wicket, the lead Ewok in Star Wars the Return of the Jedi. Angus Scrimm, on the other hand is 6 4" in height. Angus, otherwise know as "The Tall Man" played the evil mortician in Don Coscarellis "Phantasm".

William Lustic, the director of Maniac was unable to get a location permit for most of the filming of the movie. So he and actor Joe Spinell would often have to film in the middle of the night to avoid confrontation from the NYPD. One of the best examples of this "shoot & run" technique was the infamous shotgun through the windshield scene.

Joe Spinell, the schizoid serial killing maniac in Lustics cult clasc Maniac, also appeared in these blockbusters; Rocky I & II, The Godfather I & 2, Taxi Driver and Night Shift. He was also wanted by Steven Spielberg to appear in Jaws. Spielberg envioned him as one of the night time fisherman that was hunting the shark; he was going to be the one who shouted as his friend fell into the water.

"Bruce" The mechanical shark used in the movie Jaws, cost $250,000 to make. There were 3 different sharks created for the movie, each with different specialized functions. Bruce was also referred to often by Spielberg as "The Great White Turd", because he often broke down while shooting. After Bruce was built he quickly sank to the bottom of the ocean at Marthas Vineyard as nobody ever tested him in water. He was nicknamed after Steven Spielbergs lawyer.

Did you know that Christopher Lloyd otherwise know as "Doc" in the Back to the Future Trilogy, was condered for the role of Hannibal Lecter in the movie lence of the Lambs. Other notable conderations were; Robert Duvall, Jack Nicholson, Robert DeNiro and Jeremy Irons who actually turned down the role.

Hopefully you enjoyed todays batch of fun trivia facts. Stay tuned tomorrow for more. Sources provided by: imdb, wiki, and Mr. Lustic for the commentary on "Maniac"
