Sometimes being a fan of a movie doesn't mean that you're qualified to man the remake, but sometimes it does. Whether or not Gareth Edwards' pason for the old "Mean Green Stompin' Machine" Godzilla will be enough to produce a suitable hit movie remains to be seen.
Edwards recently spoke with IGN about said pason, among other things. With a few decades of laughable sequels, it won't be too hard to come up with a decent movie, but the legacy alone is what sticks with fans. Win the fans, win the box office.
