Evan Spiliotopoulos to write OUIJA for Platinum Dunes
Evan Spiliotopoulos, who is best known for writing several straight-to-DVD Disney animated films, has been gned on to write OUIJA for Universal and Michael Bay’s production banner Platinum Dunes. McG(SUPERNATURAL) will directing the film based on the Hasbro board game that enables you to speak to the dead. Um, WITCHBOARD anyone?
According to The Hollywood Reporter: "Plot details are kept under wraps although it's described as a four-quadrant supernatural adventure centering around a family, with influences from The Mummy and Indiana Jones."
Spiliotopoulos rose to fame in certain circles for penning THE LION KING 1 1/2 and POOH'S HEFFALUMP HALLOWEEN MOVIE. He has also worked on WANTED 2 and AGNES QUILL, Paramount’s adaptation of a Slave Labor Graphics comic.
