IFC MIDNIGHT Snags Jon Knautz's THE SHRINE
IFC Midnight just added another movie to their ever growing brand of horror. "THE SHRINE" joins the ranks along with movies like KIDNAPPED,and THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE 2. Brenden Morrer is the co-writter along with Jon Knautz, in what promises to be a very good tale of horror. This title has me truly excited.
A quick synops provided by joblo.com reveals the tale of a young girl from America who turns up misng in Europe while backpacking. The search is led by a group of journalists who discover the girls whereabouts to be located in a small village in Alvaina, Poland, which is believed to harbor a dangerous cult the practices human sacrifice. Determined to find some answers they begin their journey into the small village. But soon discover there not alone. And it becomes apparent to them that Alvaina may be hiding something much more darker then they could ever imagine.
