Find Out When APOLLO 18 Will Land In Movie Theaters

One of summers biggest blockbuster movies for 2011 might just happen to be a horror/thriller movie entitled: Apollo 18.Apollo 18 is a mockumentary feature which chronicles the real mison into space during the early 70s. A mison which was canceled by NASA and deemed forever as a '"successful failure". The ship was intended to land on the moon, but the mison had to be aborted after an oxygen tank ruptured. But as suggested by the poster below, "There's a reason we've never gone back to the moon.

Originally it was scheduled to be released in 2012, but sources over at Box Office Mojo are confirming a much earlier date of August 26, 2011.

The screenplay was written by Brian Miller, and Gonzalo López-Gallego will be in the directors chair. The movie is listed in IMDb as still being in post-production.
