Who Will Play "EFFIE" in THE HUNGER GAMES, We Got The Answer

As reported today by The Hollywood Reporter, the very sexy Elizabeth Banks has now been cast to play the part of Effie Trinket in the Hollywood adaption of Suzanne Collins' The Hunger Games.



The actress joins Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Paula Malcolmson, Willow Shields, Amandla Stenberg, Dayo Okeniyi, Leven Rambin, Jack Quaid, Ian Nelson and Kalia Prescott in the film, to be directed by Gary Ross.

The movie is based on Katniss Everdeen (Lawrence), a xteen year old girl who lives in a post apocalyptic world. North America is no more, it

has become a collapsed nation that has been displaced by Panem , a country which is divided into 12 districts. Each year, two young representatives are selected from each district via a lottery (one boy and one girl). The 24 winners then get to participate in The Hunger Games, which is an annual tournament run by a powerful government that operates in the central part of Panem, known as The Capital. The games are a brutal form of entertainment and they are broadcast throughout Panem. Each contestant must try to "eliminate" their competitors, or risk being "eliminated" themselves.Look for The Hunger Games to hit theaters on March 23,2012
