I AM NANCY of "Elm Street" Slashes Its Way onto DVD

Heather Langenkamp found fame playing Nancy Thompson in the 1984 New Line Cinema fright flick Wes Craven’s A Nightmare on Elm Street.

The film found tremendous success launching everyone involved into a stratosphere they never expected.

nce then Langenkamp has returned to the franchise two more times in A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: The Dream Warriors and Wes Craven’s New Nightmare.

Langenkamp recently has been traveling to different horror conventions filming her experiences with fans for her documentary I Am Nancy.

The documentary, directed by Arlene Marechal, follows the scream queen on her quest to find out what draws fans to this franchise and why her character isn’t as popular as Elm Streets favorite citizen, Freddy Krueger.

After a long year of production and a few select screenings the I Am Nancy documentary is finally available to purchase on DVD through the official webte ( for $24.99.

The DVD includes the 73 minute feature containing interviews with hundreds of fans, Robert England and Wes Craven.

Bonus features included are extended interviews with Wes Craven and Robert England as well as a fan tribute set to the film’s theme written and performed by Jamie Coon and Tom Von Doom.
