New Independent Short Film: THE DEADBEATS
One cursed film. Four Friends. One hell of a night This is the trailer for the new short film The Deadbeats. The film is about four friends who own a struggling movie theater that is being closed down by local buness men to make way for a new coffee house. In an attempt to save the theater the friends decide to show a long lost film called, The Mask of Dellamorte. The film is believed to be cursed by the Devil and has a long and bloody past! The four friends soon discover that the curse is real when they watch the film and the monsters who inhabit it come to life and COME AFTER THEM

This short film, around 25 minutes in length, is being used to showcase our talents to potential investors. We are currently looking to secure the financing for the feature length veron of the film and we want show them that cool horror movies can be made on a small budget and still have a pasonate following. We are trying to do a really big "grass roots" marketing campaign and get local producers and others to support the film, which in a way is circumventing the Hollywood model.
The film will premiere Friday, May 13th in Jacksonville, FL at 9pm at the 5 Points theater. Directed by Ross Howard and Jeremy Tidwell. Written by Jeremy Tidwell, Ross Howard, and David Howard.
We are also trying to show the power of the internet and how great tes, like HorrorBId, can really help movies get attention and a rabid fan base. We are all avid horror movie lovers and we want to make films for people just like us. Some of the inspiration for the film came from movies like The Monster Squad, Night of the Creeps and even The Goonies. We wanted to make a film that had the same adventurous and creepy feeling as those films we have always loved.
