The FRIDAY THE 13th 8-Bit Jason NES Project

Our friends over at Jack's Attic have been hard at work creating what should have been verons of Jason that appeared in the infamous F13 Nintendo video game that debuted in 1987. You know the game. You're chucking rocks for some reason at an angle that ealy miss the zombies that are chang you! (yes, zombies, wait, WTF? is this a Jason game or Dawn of the f'ing Dead?)

Nonetheless, from the cheesy deaths to the muc that played over and over again (still stuck in our heads to this day) to the floating Pamela Voorhee's head this game had it all. It was imposbly frustrating as many games were back in the 8-bit era but one thing that stood out even more than the absurdity of the plot was Jason's look.

Teal green hockey mask? Purple coveralls? This wasn't even the era when those colors were popular? The Charlotte Hornets didn't even have a basketball team ung this color set yet, when teal and purple was seen everywhere. So why did the gamers use this over the top color scheme? One will never know but our friends at Jack's Attic decided to turn the 8-bit Jason into the movie veron that he should have appeared as. Feast on the images below.

I'm a pack rat that throws nothing away. I still own 2 copies of this game. One I got for my birthday over 20 tears ago and it's still never been open (I wonder if it's worth anything?). about 5 or 6 years ago, a friend and I climbed up into the attic

and drug out the NES system and an old suitcase filled with NES games. The first one I pulled out was Friday The 13th. I can honestly say that it's one of the worst video games ever made and we played for hours straight. I think I'm heading back up into the attic right now.
