'THE LOCALS' Not Your Average "Found Footage" Flick

I'm kinda excited about seeing this upcoming flick billed as a cannibal/slasher tale told through the lenses of two video cameras and three VHS cassette tapes. I know what your saying...Not another F'ing "found footage movie". I agree...but after reading the plot, it must admit, The Locals has my interest (big time). And I love the fact that it's set in the 80's.

Plot Synops:

In 1987 a group of low budget filmmakers who head to the mountains to film a slasher movie called “Splatter Mountain.” Accompanying them are three of their actors, including an aging, coke addicted former centerfold, a bubbly, ditzy porn queen who is out of work due to the Traci Lords scandal

and a pretentious, Julliard trained actor mortified by his co-stars and the conditions he is working under. An uptight reporter joins the group at the last minute to cover the production for a nationally famous horror magazine. As the group heads deep in the mountains, they are unaware that they are being stalked by a feral family of cannibals who have been picking off passersby unfortunate enough to have wandered into their territory for decades.

I absolutely love the art work on this poster

The Locals is directed by Eric Anthony Pereira, and stars Matthew Landon, Devanny Pinn, Greg Duke and Angelina Armani.

Production is currently wrapping in the Los Angeles area for an anticipated late fall premiere in Los Angeles. Can't wait!
