Board The Bus to CAMP HELL This Summer
Lionsgate is taking us to CAMP HELL in the upcoming horror flick which is apparently loosely based on true events of some kind in one way or another. The film is set to get a straight-to-DVD release on Friday, August 13th, 2011.
From the Press Release Based on true events of a New Jersey Christian community rocked by unseen evil, the film stars two-time Emmy winner Dana Delany (Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series, TV's "China Beach," 1989, 1992). Oscar® nominee Bruce Davison (Best Actor in a Supporting Role, Longtime Companion, 1990), Andrew McCarthy ("St. Elmo's Fire"), Oscar® nominee Jesse Eisenberg (Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role, The Social Network, 2010; Zombieland) and Spencer Treat Clark (The Last House on the Left) round out the cast of this terrifyingly true tale. The Camp Hell DVD features never-before-seen deleted scenes.
"Camp Hope is a place where Christian children come together to share and study their faith. Deep in the woods and far from distraction, they learn how to better serve their maker and the perils of tangling with the Devil. Unfortunately their charismatic leader unknowingly leads them into a world of evil, and the nightmare begins, as each child's body soon becomes possessed by something evil."

Not a big fan of the grudge/ring/shutter style of editing special fx but the premise of this movie looks pretty interesting, might have to scope it out on the next Friday the 13th

Over the years, we've been introduced to many camps that have deadly occurrences.
Camp Crystal Lake, Camp Arawak, and Camp Blackfoot to name a few. Camps & horror films films go hand in hand like peanut butter & jelly. Lionsgate is wanting to to add another name to that list in their direct to DVD feature, CAMP HELL.

Damn i kinda hate that it's straight to dvd. It does look cool but never been a huge fan of quick releases for some reason. Other than Hatchet of course but that still played in some thaters i believe

They say the release date is "Friday the 13th of August 2011." There isn't a Friday the 13th for the rest of the year. I am almost sure this did come out Friday August 13th of 2010.
