"All the boys love Mandy Lane" the next big Slasher movie?

ALL THE BOYS LOVE MANDY LANE

This movie has had a fairly large amount of hype around it lately.

Rumor mill says it's done in an 80's slasher style (with a little more realism).

Reviews from fans are mixed . . .all say it's good but some say it's the next clasc Horror Movie.

Here are some clips from the movie . . ..

Hmmm... Don't know what to think. Is it a b movie?

I'll give it a go. With enough beer I'm sure I will survive. All the hype about it being like an 80's b role movie are kinda squashed with all the new in focus camera. I like the grainy vintage look of the old films. People also carried themselves differently.

Watched this with the wifey over the weekend.

Though fairly predictable I was actually pretty impressed with it.

It had nice production value and had a good "feel" to it.

Nice cinematography, believable, a few nice "jump" moments and like it was mentioned above it had a nice throwback 80s slasher vibe to it.

A la Screams "rules" there were several kills related to the infamous no-nos of horror movie survival that gave it nice "camp" factor.

I don't know that I'd say it will be the "next big slasher movie" necessarily, but it's definitely worth checking out in some free time if you get a chance.

I watched it last week and personally I didn't care for it.

I definitely don't think it will be the next big slasher movie.

It was fairly predictable with one twist at the end that they went into almost no detail about.

I like a nice twist here and there, but it would be nice to know why one of the main characters wanted everyone dead.

Maybe I missed something there, but I don't think so.

I do have to agree with what you mentioned about the ending.

SPOILER ALERT BELOW THE LINE!!! _____________________________________________________________________

It was never really made clear whether the older ranch-hand was in on the scheme with Mandy or whether she planned to kill him too.

I kept expecting her to push him out of the jeep or something but it just sort of ended.

Also have to agree that it was never really made clear why she wanted to do all this to begin with.

In any event, with the diary and all the evidence left behind there's no doubt that Mandy will be finishing HS with a GED from the pen.
