Why do we forget chucky

Ok a few months back i wrote a topic of interest about the slasher movie's which i still have to say sorry for just on the fact that i angered some. Sorry but in my passage I got myself thinking about the genre

and said HEy heyyyyy what about Chucky. Why does that cute little toy doll of horror always get forgotten. I mean the movies except for the last couple are great. Somebody high on the horror totem pole has brain washed us too watch the same crap, over and over without questioning the point. Now i'm a true fan of horror love anything too do it, but will somebody please tell me i'm not crazy, because i saw scream 4 and yes its a remake so to speak; but it was more enjoyable then half of these one hit wonder pop horror that is out now. All hale Chucky, one of the best forgotten horror flicks to date.
