FRIGHT NIGHT 2 Planned? Details Inside

Apparently DreamWorks is already talking about the posblity of a Fright Night sequel, at least that's what's being reported by cinemablend.com. If this does happen, Fright Night 2 will be a direct sequel to the remake. But in order to do that, they’ll have to revamp most of the cast ( if you watch the original Fright Night, you'll know why) and instead of the sequel starring both Anton Yelchin and Colin Ferrell, it will most likely star David Tennant and Christopher Mintz-Plasse.

According to sources close to Cinema Blend...The followup would take place in a new city where Peter Vincent not only has to deal with vampires, but potentially other unexpected problems. Evil Ed wouldn't be the movie’s villain, they’d go another direction, but Evil Ed will be in it.

If this it true, it will be huge news, but in order for that to happen everything is going to depend on the success of the Fright Night remake which doesn't come out until August 19, 2011. If fan's love it, DreamWorks may just give the thumbs up for the sequel.

We will keep you posted, but for know will keep this bit of info filed in the bin of rumors.

Just so long as they don't follow the script of the original's sequel. That was wretched. (The head-bowling bit was slightly amung, though)
