The Human Centipede 2: Full Sequence Banned Overseas

Probably the first of many countries has officially banned the latest sequel to the cult clasc gross-out movie The Human Centipede, helmed by horror master Tom x. The Human Centipede 2: Full Sequence has been banned in the UK by the British Board of Film Clasfication (BBFC). Unfortunately for British fans of the horror genre will not be able to see the film in their homeland, however the few dedicated fans will eventually find it online (which now a days doesn't take a whole lot of effort) however, the film will not be officially released in the country.

For those of you who remember Tom x's initial claim that The Human Centipede 2: Full Sequence would make the first one "look like My Little Pony" it seems that the statement holds some solid truth. More as it comes as always, however below is a release from Empire Online, who posted this news this morning. Be warned however, the description below does feature a lot of new information not previously released about this film which has been quite a well-kept secret following its near-release and the information below can be condered a SPOILER. so, if you would rather not subject yourself to said spoliers please just click on the back button while you can:

"The first film dealt with a mad doctor who sews together three kidnapped people in order to produce the 'human centipede' of the title. Although the concept of the film was undoubtedly tasteless and disgusting it was a relatively traditional and conventional horror film and the Board concluded that it was not in breach of our Guidelines at '18'.

This new work, The Human Centipede II (Full Sequence), tells the story of a man who becomes sexually obsessed with a DVD recording of the first film and who imagines putting the 'centipede' idea into practice. Unlike the first film, the sequel presents graphic images of sexual violence, forced defecation, and mutilation, and the viewer is invited to witness events from the perspective of the protagonist. Whereas in the first film the 'centipede' idea is presented as a revolting medical experiment, with the focus on whether the victims will be able to escape, this sequel presents the 'centipede' idea as the object of the protagonist's depraved sexual fantasy.

The principal focus of The Human Centipede II (Full Sequence) is the sexual arousal of the central character at both the idea and the spectacle of the total degradation, humiliation, mutilation, torture, and murder of his naked victims. Examples of this include a scene early in the film in which he masturbates whilst he watches a DVD of the original Human Centipede film, with sandpaper wrapped around his penis, and a sequence later in the film in which he becomes aroused at the ght of the members of the 'centipede' being forced to defecate into one another's mouths, culminating in ght of the man wrapping barbed wire around his penis and raping the woman at the rear of the 'centipede'. There is little attempt to portray any of the victims in the film as anything other than objects to be brutalised, degraded and mutilated for the amusement and arousal of the central character, as well as for the pleasure of the audience. There is a strong focus throughout on the link between sexual arousal and sexual violence and a clear association between pain, perverty and sexual pleasure. It is the Board's concluon that the explicit presentation of the central character's obsesve sexually violent fantaes is in breach of its Clasfication Guidelines and poses a real, as opposed to a fanciful, risk that harm is likely to be caused to potential viewers.

David Cooke, Director of the BBFC had this to say:

"It is the Board's carefully condered view that to issue a certificate to this work, even if confined to adults, would be inconstent with the Board's Guidelines, would risk potential harm within the terms of the VRA, and would be unacceptable to the public.

"The Board also seeks to avoid clasfying material that may be in breach of the Obscene Publications Acts 1959 and 1964 (OPA) or any other relevant legislation. The OPA prohibits the publication of works that have a tendency to deprave or corrupt a gnificant proportion of those likely to see them. In order to avoid clasfying potentially obscene material, the Board engages in regular discusons with the relevant enforcement agencies, including the CPS, the police, and the Ministry of Justice. It is the Board's view that there is a genuine risk that this video work, The Human Centipede II (Full Sequence), may be condered obscene within the terms of the OPA, for the reasons given above."

There you have it, Bidites! any thoughts, questions, concerns, etc.? Leave it all in the comments (or reply's or whatever you want to call them) If you ask me, this movie sounds fucking twisted and certainly pushes some envelopes for me. I don't know how eager I am to see some of the gruesome shit evidently in this movie but of course, as a fan, im kind of obligated to watch and find out what all the fuss is about ;)

To be honest, this sounds like what I thought the first one would be.

I watched the first solely for the shock value and general depravity, and in the end I was surprised at how relatively tame it was.

Let's face it, when you watch a movie about a guy sewing people together ass to mouth, you know what you're looking to see.

The first one held back, and that's why I didn't really care for it.

Regardless, no movie like this should be banned anywhere.

I'm perfectly capable of deciding for myself what I can and can't handle.

I could give a rat's ass what a group of stuffed shirts thinks is "unacceptable to the public".
