In one of my recent posts about "Real" Fake Blood vs CGI Blood someone brought up the movie Midnight Meat Train so because of this I felt inspired to give you guys my own review of the movie.

I would give Midnight Meat Train a rating of 7 out of 10.

Why? -I was very disappointed by the CGI blood which I felt did not look real and it honestly sort of ruined the film for me. I read the story before I saw the movie so I was very excited to hear they were making it into a movie because I knew it would be one blood bath of a film but no... all there was a CGI blood bath of lies. -The acting was very good but in all honesty I cannot take Bradlee Cooper seriously as the person he becomes in the end because I find him to be a very handsome man. -I did feel the story was very well adapted from the book and I would recommend reading the story before you watch the movie to see if you can stomach the kind of gore this movie contains.

Overall I somewhat enjoyed this film and would recommend it to the type of people of love gory movies. Just beware of the film being very CGI happy so the gore may not look as real. I do recommend reading the story from The Books of Blood by Clive Barker before you see this movie because the movie can get very graphic so if you do not have a strong stomach reading it before hand you will be able to determine if you can handle it or not.

I did purchase this film however I wish I just rented it because the gore in the movie did not look real to me.
