Intruder (1989) Coming to Blu-Ray via Synapse! Special Features Announced!

Of all the slashers to be released in the 1980s, Intruder is a definite favorite of mine. The kills are all really creative and very bloody, and the killer's motive is a literal joke. In fact, it feels like Intruder sets out to be a parody of the slasher genre, and it works! It was directed by Scott Spiegel, who you may recognize as one of the men behind Evil Dead, so it comes as no surprise when Sam Raimi, Bruce Campbell, and Ted Raimi show up for cameos. It was released complete and uncut by Full Moon Entertainment (Full Moon creator Charles Band produced it) on Dvd a while back, and now, our friends at Synapse Films are releang it in all its blood-splattering gory glory on Blu-Ray! Cover art and release date are yet to be announced, but the planned special features have arrived thanks to Fangoria...

INTRUDER, first released in 1989, was produced by Lawrence Bender prior to his long association with Quentin Tarantino and features brief appearances by Sam and Ted Raimi and Bruce Campbell. “We have uncovered the the original film materials,” May tells Fango, “and are in the process of scanning the uncut veron in 2K HD. It’s early, for sure, but we plan on some exciting extras to be produced by Michael Felsher’s Red Shirt Pictures. This one deserves a place on every gore fan’s shelf and to be remastered properly, and is a nice companion to our upcoming release of THOU SHALL NOT KILL…EXCEPT release . We’re planning a Blu-ray and DVD release for 2011."

The special features have been announced, and here they are:
