The title say's it all! According to Deadline, KatzSmith Productions partners David Katzenberg and Seth Grahame-Smith have just gned a two-year first-look feature producing deal at Warner Bros, and one of their first projects is expected to be the long awaited sequel to the 1988 Tim Burton-directed hit
Beetlejuice.
The film will not be a remake (THANK GOD!); the intention is to reboot it by continuing the storyline of the original, which was done by The Geffen Company and Warner Bros.
As part of the deal Grahame-Smith will handle the writing duties on two scripts and there's a real good chance that Beetlejuice 2 will be one of them.
Before this deal, Grahame-Smith and Katzenberg (pictured Below) were condered by Lionsgate to co-direct the David O Russell-scripted Pride and Prejudice and Zombies but in the end, it was Craig Gillespie who eventually scored the job.
No word has been made as to whether star Michael Keaton would be returing to reprise his role as Beetlejuice.
